A glittering beginning for Braylon Edwards

by Pat McManamon on July 29, 2009

in Braylon Edwards, Browns, McManamon

Braylon Edwards is off to a great start in training camp.

Next thing you know he'll race a teammate and get spiked and miss a month. Nah … not even Edwards would be nuts enough to do that, would he?

Keep in mind that Edwards' being placed on the non-football injury list means that he hurt himself doing something other than football.

Take Edwards out of the wide receiver position — either literally or mentally, which he has done with himself at various points of his career — and there really is no proven quality talent.

Heck … you could even make the argument that even with Edwards there is no proven quality dependable consistent talent.

Hopefully this injury situation is not a big deal, but the Browns need their two rookie receivers to come through.
