No blind guy Jose Feliciano making it OK for Hendrix and Charles to do their versions?

I'd like to see a video montage of the last 856 years of singers lip-syncing this at the Super Bowl. Jennifer Hudson with a "stirring rendition" of a complete fraud. Thanks for the memories.

I meant lip-syncing the "Star Spangled Banner." Not "America the Beautiful." Although, whenever some celebrity sings that at a sporting event, they lip-sync that, too.

By the way, can we please pass a federal law making it OK to murder somebody from the dates of July 3 through July 5? From about 11:00 pm until about 2 am, my creep neighbor and his creepy pals were blowing off fireworks not more than 15 yards away from my house. I had 170 pounds worth of dogs grabbing me, tackling me, doing everything they could do be next to me, scared out of their animal minds. They aren't wussy poodles, but if I was a dog, I would have been scared out of my freakin' mind, too.

i haven't even heard a pop and there are fireworks stands at every major intersection in the state. at the last two places i lived that were in and around bozeman it was ww3 for two weeks straight. i think i might have had a small taste of what the brits got when the nazis bombed england.

holy s–t. steve mcnair just reported dead from a gunshot.

alan t. July 4, 2009 at 5:28 pm

I swear I had nothing to do with it.

Let's see Alan, a known hater of fireworks…..and McNair an avowed lover of all things expolsive is dead..hmmm might be time to give Donte's attorney a call, Alan.

geddy July 4, 2009 at 11:35 pm

Wow, total craziness about McNair. His time in Baltimore was a waste, but he, Eddie George, and Jevon Kearse basically were the face of the Titans.

So come on, let's start seeing some stories about how Portland can't lure free agents either, after the about face Turkeyglue pulled. Ah, memories of the Booze(r).

alan t. July 5, 2009 at 9:58 am

I don't know. It's not the same thing at all, the Turkey guy and the whipped turkey. The whipped turkey let his wife weasel. Different contract situation.

I once accepted a job, then had second thoughts before my start date. That's not Boozer-like. That's just having second thoughts.

Didn't Belichick do something similar with the Jets?

Besides, the great City of Portland makes the City of Cleveland look like Cindy Crawford's mole. Portland is not remotely close to the great Toronto, though.

And I swear, that McNair thing, I didn't do it. The fact that I posted about murdering somebody between July 3 through July 5 about three seconds prior to McNair being murdered was purely coincidental. If the glove does not fit, you must acquit.
