High strikeouts, low hits. And why is Shelton still the hitting coach? They didn't give Eddie Murray that amount of leash...

I wonder if the Indians will ever admit to themselves that if they are going to be a youth-driven franchise and shun proven veterans that they will have to staff their management/coaching staff with people who can coach at the major league level, rather than just offer sage advice, like "grind through it".

I know Alan and Terje... I know...

"Not necessarily a bad thing?" Well, when it gets to be a GOOD THING, let me know, because I'll assume the Tribe is headed for a World Series win.

Sizemore, Shoppach, Peralta, Garko, Hafner. Just think, between those five, we can crack that 700 strikeout mark! Woo hoo!

On another note....those who keep spouting the crap about the Tribe having "one of the most potent offenses in baseball" because they (inexplicably) have scored a lot of runs.....mostly in 9-run abberation bunches....I challenge you: Go back and count HOW MANY GAMES Cleveland has gotten just SEVEN HITS or fewer in a game this year. Figure you're losing 90% of those. And we're losing 50% of the games when we DO get more than 7 hits.

This offense is putrid, lifeless and pathetic from top to bottom.
