Zero sympathy here… I wonder sometimes if the relentless focus on steroids, including releasing names of players in anonymous tests, is their way of saving face. Personally, I think its a lack of creativity to not cover other things in sports.

I made the decision a few months ago that I wasn't renewing my subscription and one of the three reasons was because of this never-ending obsession on a topic that would mean something if they could jump in the way-back machine and cover it when it was going on.

Its over and done with and I moved on.

I wonder what Ocker would look like wearing a toga and one of those leafy hats.

Hee hee. I thought Sosa was LeBron for a minute.

Every one of those nincompoops who sat and lied to Congress should be prosecuted, just like Bonds. I'm especially targeting Corky Sosa, who pretended he didn't understand English. "No habla espanol?" "Que pasa?" And wasn't McGuire the one who sat there and said he "wasn't looking back?"

    Fry 'em.

sportswriters are just as complicit in all this mess. they have access that the average guy doesn't. don't tell me that nobody saw a pizza back on a man with boobs in the locker room. but people fixated on the "story" in sports rather than the truth like tony kornholer and the rest of the so-called sports writers from rags like s.i. and garbage entertainment broadcasts like espn let what was really going down slide. it took a scumbag like jose canseco to shine the light of truth on baseball. if jose is a scumbag (which i think we would all agree he is) what does that make the the union, the management and the writers? i've got a lot of names to call them that are much worse than scum.

even now, dan wetzel of yahoo sports is offering a preemptive strike in the behalf of david stern to discredit tim donaghy.

don't listen to tim, he's only in it for the money!!! well dan, since it took canseco to get to the real deal in baseball the smart money is on donaghy to tell us what really goes on in darth stern's empire. lord knows the writers won't out the slime in professional sports.
