It takes a certain amount of gumption to have a hat ready with an 'X' on the front, but Phil Jackson has never lacked for gumption. The hat he wore after the Lakers win Sunday signified the 10th title he'd won as a coach. That reality prompted one wise NBA writer to opine that that Jackson is the best NBA coach ever. Said the man himself: "I don't feel like I'm one of the great coaches, I feel I've been fortunate to be blessed with great teams."

Actually, it's not too difficult to find an 'X' hat. Are people's memories really that short? Spike Lee and the studio were hawking gazillions of those stupid things when they made that Denzel Washington movie.
I just read Broussard's piece, apparently he already brought up the Malcolm X thing. My bad.
And speaking of Broussard, I think it's become fairly clear that Ferry found himself a second manipulated patsy to go along with Windhorst. Ferry is spreading the leak wealth. Now he has one local and one national, so he's got all of his bases covered. Good for him. He may be woefully incompetent at his job, but at least he's smart enough to know to cover his behind with a thick sheet of titanium.
What is it with former Beacon Journal employees that makes them such lemmings, suckers and poor sources of accurate reader information? Windhorst and Broussard, two peas from the same pod. There must be asbestos dust blowing out of the vents in that building, or something.
i've noticed that about broussard too. windhorst and broussard make a great propaganda double team.
it's pretty sickening.
Give Phil Jackson the LA Clippers and when he can turn that trainwreck into an NBA Champion I'll give him the moniker. He can babysit the egos, but there's more to it.
