OK, now that we finally got the last vestiges of that flotsam excuse/apology out of the way, what flotsam excuse/apology are the Windhorsts, Plutos, Livingstons, Shaws (and McManamons?) of the North Coast going to use when James refuses to sign an extension this summer? Seriously, I want to know how low they're going to go.

Well, if they go as low as you do in at least 90% of your posts, then there might be cause for concern. But seriously, no chance that happens as no one is as bitter, unhappy, and angry as you.

How many hours you gonna waste today on the internets? Its a Sunday, lets say for this week alone, you keep track of your internet hours. I'm putting the over/under at 77 for the next 7 days. And no loopholes like "I keep my computer on 24/7"….I'm strictly talking about you sitting in front of your pc, clicking amd typing away mindlessly. But hey, if the ABJ website and others like it make you think you have an actual friend in this world who doesn't think you're a joke, good for you!! Do you find yourself having actual conversations with it too from time to time?

Stalker ahoy.

I am sorry, Pat, and I know this is totally inappropriate for this G-rated family blog, and I know this guy Rick should finally post his e-mail address so that he can finally, at long last, beg me to e-mail him photos of me standing underneath the Terminal Tower while I'm wearing nothing but a pair of Speedos or a thong.

But I am now surfing around with one eye on the Indians game and one eye on time-killers, and I stumbled upon this. Not many things make me chuckle out loud, but this did. I think it's worth sharing. ALERT: This may be considered PG-rated.

Also, if anybody seriously doesn't believe that long-time alleged Cavaliers "strength and conditioning coach" Stan Kellers should not have been fired many years ago, I am posting something which I now offer into evidence as "Exhibit 1."

As far as James is concerned, I am very pleased that Stern had a change of heart and fined him, albeit for James it's the equivalent of beer money. There is an outrageous double-standard as to certain NBA stars never receiving personal fouls, but the media rules should apply to all. Everybody is required to waste their time giving totally worthless hackneyed quotes in the locker room, so why does LeBron think he's special? Stern is kinda totalitarian in a lot of respects, but good for him for changing his mind.

what the f—k are you talking about. Try posting something that actually relates to the article under which you are posting. Rick sure has you pegged.

BTW, I read McCallum's article. He says:
"I was surprised at how many times I heard during the season that LeBron, not Kobe, has become the league's best player. I don't buy that. I still think it's Bryant."

It isn't even close Jack. If you don't watch enough NBA to know that, I don't have time to read anymnore of your drivel.

lambbone, if by "pegged" you mean I've had to pay for additional security at my house, then you're right.

And my comment did have to do with the original post. The apologies and excuses for James have been repeated ad nauseam so much around the radius of the North Coast, you'd think the Roman Catholics were protecting the Pope.

Pat is a heckuva lot better than the other local sportswriters in this regard, but I think there should be a strict law. Unfortunately, newspapers are going to die long before the law is passed, but it doesn't hurt to dream so long as the rest of my life is substantially grounded in reality.

Anyway, the proposed law is as follows: If you were born and raised in a small to medium sports market, then you are barred from being a sportswriter in that same sports market. Your strong inherent bias precludes it. Furthermore, if you are a sportswriter who is an import from another city, then you cannot be employed in that adopted city for more than 10 years. Your subsequent adopted city bias precludes it.
