It's been about three months since the Cavs last played, but the East Finals do in fact begin tonight. I think the Cavs will have their hands full, and a couple writers from Fox agree. "If nothing else seems to translate, Orlando at least enters the conference finals knowing it had enough gusto to take down the Cavs in two of their three meetings," writes Randy Hill. "The variable could be compounded by the notion that the swagger-laden Cavaliers know it, too." Michael Rosenberg opines: "A LeBron-Kobe showdown is on the horizon, but two gifted teams lie in wait. The hype says the NBA's preeminent players will meet in the finals. The games may say otherwise."
It'll be good to get to the games so there will actually be … well … something to write about.
