I don't know about you, but if I were the father of this 12-year-old and my kid got shoved in the back by an NBA player like this, I'd have been upset too. Might not have gone to the media about it, but I'd have been upset. That being said, what's with the comments following the Orlando Sentinel report? What exactly is it about anonymous comments that make people think they can be mean and vicious, especially as it relates to a kid. I don't get it.

Pretty funny. I noticed it immediately after Davis made that shot. I was watching from a sports bar, and I told somebody who was sitting by me, "Just wait, that kid's father is going to make a self-serving stink about it." And sure enough, there he is, seeking his few minutes of fame and/or a small cash settlement.
How much do you want to bet that the kid himself was thinking, "Man, that was so cool." He'll remember that moment in a fond way until the day he dies.
Fathers. Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.
i'm not feeling bad for anyone who has courtside seats to an nba playoff game.
I hate Giant Infant with a passion, but that was a heat-of-the-moment, adrenaline-pumping incident. Davis probably couldn't even recall it happening when asked. Only in America.
Maybe they should do away with "courtside seats" if your safety could be compromised…
Yes, Glen shouldn't shoved the kid. But he's a Celtic, that the only thing they know to do – shove people. Kids, opponents, little old ladies…
Oh, please. If James made that shot, for good reason, he might have gone happy crazy, too. Being a Celtic has nothing to do with it. Besides, the kid shouldn't have been standing on the court in the first place. That's why they're called "seats."
In fact, Elizabeth, it would have been a lot funnier if Davis plowed over a little old lady who can afford two courtside seats costing over $80,000 a year. She would have probably told her gigolo to e-mail the NBA.
