The first conspiracy theory of the playoffs

by Pat McManamon on April 28, 2009

The Boston Globe reported this about Boston's game in Chicago on Sunday: "An NBA source pointed out before the game that two of the referees were Chicago natives (Marc Davis and Dan Crawford). Kennedy also was involved in an incident with (Celtics coach Doc) Rivers during the Bulls' St. Patrick's Day win in which both were fined by the league for jawing. The source also said that after the game family members of both referees departed wearing Bulls gear."

So now the league is rigging things so the Celtics lose?

(laughing hysterically)… aww, poor Celts. Welcome to the NBA kids! Like your teams in the 80s weren't getting a pass, or the Bulls in the 90s?

Just so we quit looking for the next conspiracy, I was watching a night of NBA hoops on TNT earlier in the season and they showed Kevin Garnett walking into the locker room from the bus to get ready for the game. I said to the TV "I hope you blow your knee out." He got hurt that night.

I'm taking responsibility. Please notify the authorities.
