Regarding Sunday's Indians game

Nice use of replay. If umpires are not going to overturn a call when a fan hits a fielder's glove, what's the point of having replay? (Written prior to postgame interviews. The explanation should be interesting.)

I agree! What a clear picture of fan interference! Crowe had that ball in his sights and those two jokers reached over the wall and blocked Trevor's glove from making the catch!
The Yankees needed two terrible calls by umpires and then a ball lost in the sun to beat the Tribe. We could have swept the Yankees in their new billion dollar launching pad. The Yanks are far from the dominant team many pundits predicted! The Indians will turn this this around and take the Central.

I want to see the ground rules for the stadium. I totally agree with your take on the replay.

By awarding the home run, they're assuming that Crowe wouldn't have made the catch, correct? What if it had hit the wall and not gone out – is that a ground rule double?

I keep telling myself that the officials handed the Yankees their two wins this weekend – by that BS strike call against DeRosa, and that debachle yesterday. I also have to tell myself we have handed them their worst losses.

Also: how 'safe' is it for the fans to be that close to the edge at that height – they could fall out onto the playing field. And wasn't that stadium funded with a truck load of "homeland security" money? Doesn't seem very safe to me…
