The Cutler deal was all about Kyle Orton

by Pat McManamon on April 6, 2009

in Brady Quinn, Jay Cutler, McManamon

My last word on the Jay Cutler trade. After this I shall say no more … Peter King wrote about the deal and other possible Cutler deals on SI.com, and never once mentioned the words "Brady" and "Quinn." King said the key for Denver was acquiring Kyle Orton, which might be the first time anything like that has ever been written. And King called any reports that Cutler almost wound up in Washington "total BS." For what it's worth.

I read that King column…and skipped over the whole Cutler trade pages. That got more press than the Obama-McCain election.

Kyle Freakin Orton. Am I crazy, or did the Browns' very own Chaz Frye outplay Kyle in the Senior Bowl?

Yeah, I'm just suuuuure Denver getting Orton was the "key." Cmon, Peter, you're losing credibility by the minute.
