The Cavs dispensed with their pregame "photographs" Sunday. Which might or might not mean something. Prior to Sunday, the Cavs had been dragging out the pregame introductions to ridiculous levels — to the point that LeBron James was taking "snapshots" of his teammates in all kind of silly poses.
It was all fun, and well and good, but it was also getting to be a bit much. So … coming off an embarrassing loss in Orlando, the Cavs skipped the photos prior to facing the Spurs.
Maybe it meant something, maybe it didn't. But for this game the Cavs were very, very serious. Especially LeBron James, who started with an 18-point first quarter and directed the Cavs to their 62nd win. And there was not a lot of doubt about the outcome, either.
The Cavs pretty well dominated in the 101-81 victory.
So perhaps it's time to truly and fully trust in this team. To not doubt them when they have a bad game. They've done enough this season — winning 62 games, going 37-1 at home — to earn trust. The loss in Orlando was bad, but when a team responds in such a mature fashion, it's another reason to trust them.
Of course it helps a great deal when said team's leader is James, who quite simply is the league's best player and MVP and the most basketball savvy player to come down the pike this side of Luther Rackley.
Trust. At this point in the season, the Cavs have earned that much from us.
orlando meant nothing to me. none of the rest of the regular season is important. this team is good enough to win it all homecourt against the west or not.
It's sports. It's meant to be fun. The Cavaliers won 13 in a row while "snapping photos".
Now, if Congress did this before starting their daily session, that would be something to get our banana hammocks in a bunch over. Although, they are a joke in their own right.
"Snapping photos" is not "fun." It's not "sports" and it's complete BS. Odd how the same fans would say the exact opposite if this was 2000-2002, the Lakers were about to crush the Cavaliers, and Mark Madsen and all the rest were "snapping photos" with Shaq for half an hour.
