Some unabashed positives on the Indians

Peter Gammons writes on ESPN.com that Cubs manager Lou Piniella thinks Mark DeRosa's best position is third base, and "being allowed to settle there may make the former Cub an All-Star." Gammons also points out that Jhonny Peralta leads AL shortstops in home runs the past three seasons with 57, and he has some very positive things to say about Shin-Soo Choo. Hey … the guy knows baseball.

That's very nice of Mr. Gammons, but at this point I would prefer if the Indians operated under the media radar. We all had such high expectations for the Browns and look what we got for that. Then we (and yes, I know that a lot of "we" bloggers thought no such thing..) hoped that the Cavaliers would be good and battle the Pistons for the Central Division. Instead, they're the Monsters of the East Conference. So, I want the Tribe to be ignored in the preseason picks and then surprise everybody with a hot start, strong followthrough, and a smooth finish. (That's enough analogies for now)

eric wedge is the potato that never learns. while potato brown has progressed as a coach and is truly one of the top tier coaches in the league, eric wedge makes the same errors over and over again. eric wedge's secret plan? push *unwarranted favoritism, unwarranted loyalty (skinner), questionable baseball strategy skills, poor line-ups* and repeat.
