The Columbus Dispatch provides a very interesting profile on Cavs assistant coach Chris Jent, who also is LeBron James' personal shot tutor. "In my situation, it's hard to trust people, but I trust Chris, and there is just this vibe between us," James said.

Good link Pat, this is a great read. Just one of the many stories the national media ignore (or don't know about) in their lust for LBJ to leave. I know every athlete has their special personal coaches they're attached to (I recall Manny wanted the club house attendant to go to Boston with him) but Lebron James is far more loyal than most with his friends and others he respects.
Its because of these reasons Cavs fans should not fret about Mr James leaving town.
Oh and the fact that the Cavs can pay him more than anyone else helps too.
i can tell the difference with lebron's shot. it's still off-kilter a lot but last night i saw lebron stroke a 3 with perfect form. straight up and down, no scissor kick.
Chris Jent, along with Jay Burson, are forever in my mind and heart when I think of Buckeyes basketball (along with JJ and Dennis Hopson).
Thanks Pat, awesome stuff.
I think it's all in James' mind. Like one of those wackier chiropractors who gets a strong testimonial from a "healed" patient, despite really doing nothing to heal him.
Jent really isn't helping James, per se, other than having a guy to lean on. If they both want to believe otherwise, fine, but it's not going to make it true. No different than when James went through that goofy period kissing his wrists at the free throw line. James' gifted talents and his work ethic alone have made him a better and more confident shooter. Jent as a coach has nothing to do with it.
Why do I say this? Because Jent is a lefty. As a lifelong southpaw since the mid-1800s, I can tell you with 100% certainty that lefties and righties do not mix. We cannot learn a specific technique from you, you cannot learn a specific technique from us. It's like trying to turn a gay guy straight. Sorry, ain't gonna happen.
