The loss to the Lakers warrants more attention, and I'll post more on that later, but in the interim it's time to appreciate LeBron James' block of Chris Bosh's dunk — and time to appreciate the photography of Phil Masturzo of the Beacon Journal. He caught this sequence of the block during the game.

Consider:
–Bosh is 6-10, and was fully extended, preparing for a windmill slam.
–James came from the other side of the key to leap and block the shot.
–He tipped the ball away with his off hand.
–And he tipped the bottom of the ball.

Amazing. Simply amazing. Enjoy the sequence.

James has really improved this facet of his game, but what really bugs me about his improvement is that he sometimes lets his massive ego impede it. Not in this series of photos, since it appears he didn't get enough of a hand on the ball, but on the majority of his shot-blocks. Instead of tapping the ball into play, like all smart shot-blockers do, he lets the 'S' on his cape go berserk and he swats the ball into the 20th row. Who knows, maybe it's 'roid rage.

Just unbelievable. What a treat to have this player on the hometown team. When LeBron hangs up his sneakers we will have witnessed the best player to ever have played the game. And what is truly amazing is that he's only 24 and we're heaping these accolades on him now and not at the end of his career. Let me state this again, "Just Unbelievable".
