I breezed through the first sentence, so naturally I assumed there was going to be video entertainment featuring RuPaul. I am somewhat disappointed.
Hey, Pat, you might want to revise what you said about BC holding their coach to his contract. His contract actually did allow him to interview for other jobs, and the BC A.D. admitted that he was firing the coach "without cause."
So, yeah, I can understand why you might not want your guy to interview for another job, but then put that into the contract. Otherwise stop your whining. BC will now have to pay Jag the remainder of his money because he did NOT violate the terms of his deal when he interviewed for the Jets job.
I guess you are too busy not writing to do any actual reporting, eh?
Mike … uh …. huh? All he wrote is that good for BC for holding the guy to his contract. Just because the guy didn't technically violate his contract doesn't mean that BC shouldn't hold him to the contract. If he wanted out of the contract, then he should have exercised the buyout clause, assuming there is one in the contract like many college head coach contracts have these days, and then resigned. But the guy didn't want to do that. So he got the ax.
"Without cause" is just a legal term. Indeed, realistically he was fired with cause. Not for breach of contract, but because he's a slimy greasy snake. It's bad form, just another college coach/lowlife always looking around for something better, duping the kids he recruited and flipping the bird at the guy who originally bought his baloney at his job interview and signed him to a five-year contract a mere two years ago. It stinks.
