Coming from a guy who jocks DA harder than anyone:

Chris Mortensen: Browns fans will tell you that I am very high on Derek Anderson and opposed his benching. But after listening to all the critics during that pre-draft analysis of Quinn, I have seen enough from Quinn in practice, preseason and these two starts to see that he is going to be an absolute star in the NFL. I'm not just faulting the Dolphins - I'm saying a lot of teams blew it on Quinn. He prepares like Peyton Manning. Physically, he's big, strong & athletic. I can tell he knows how to play fast. His arm is actually stronger than advertised. His leadership is champion-like. You don't pass on QBs like that, so I assign this oversight to a lot of teams.

Thank God for makeup artists and smoking hot stiletto heels. Otherwise, folks would have to logically conclude that Pat has far more serious a drinking problem than Terry Pluto did when he used to worship Charlie Frye.

Speaking of those smoking hot stiletto heels, is it my imagination, or did she break the right one in that photo taken on the set of Gilligan's Island. Look at that thing. Either that, or Pat was gnawing on her foot like a piece of rawhide.

Anyway, thank God for makeup artists and smoking hot stiletto heels.

In two starts, Quinn had outstanding stats in the first and a gritty win in the last 2 minutes in the second. There's really not much to complain about yet.

In fact he's almost always done pretty well, despite reports that he would sit out his rookie year and never play for the Browns, that he threw wobbly passes, that he just plain 'looks bad' in practice, etc., etc. It's not the fans' judgment that is odd, it's the ABJ coverage. If ABJ staff writers were correct in their qb assessments, Charlie Frye would still be starting.

Why are we still talking about Derek Anderson, Pat?

Do you really feel its worth still discussing? The guy was the lowest rated starting QB in the league during his time starting here this season. He was given the chance to run Quinn out of town and he didn't do it. Pat if you support the Browns you need to get behind Quinn; not compare a QB in his 2nd start to a guy who made 14 for 38 starts a habit in his 20th, 24th, 26th starts and so on. What is it with the media in this town and trying to slam anyone who plays QB?

Man, reading the sports these days is about as enjoyable as punching myself in the face. Article after article about the Browns until we finally hit rock bottom with a media crush on Phil Savage's curse word. Then, when we finally get a piece on the Cavs, it's about LeBron leaving. Again. I'm going to start reading about world news pretty soon if this keeps up.

I'm pretty sure you are a Derek Anderson guy Patrick.

That was Quinn's 2nd career start. Not his 23rd or 25th career start. Anderson too often looking like a first year player was what got him benched. Cant the media just relax on the Cleveland QB's for oh, I don't know. Once in the past decade (literally).
