respect savage for stupidly responding to someone's e-mail????

no way in hell.

i'd respect the guy if he wasn't running the franchise into the ground. what would be pretty cool is if the browns were in contention for the playoffs. THAT would be cool.

the proof is in the pudding. the organization is loaded with fools. should i respond to every e-mail with a nigerian telling me that i won the lottery? how about penis supplements? should i write a message to all those junk e-mailers too? hey phil, you don't like what someone writes????? just click DELETE. what a g-d moron. pat thinks romeo is a great guy who deserves his job. should i load his inbox with profane insults? would that be respectable? the man is entitled to his opinion and i don't have to agree with it. just like savage doesn't have to agree with a jerk badgering him via the internet.

can we get a doctor in the house to wake up randy lerner from his soccer coma? please fire phil savage and romeo crennel. this joke has gone right past funny, blown through sad and is now stale and annoying.

I think this is pretty cool. Guys like Ferry or Shapiro would have had one of their PR minions read the e-mail and reply, if at all. I think Savage has done a C-grade job, if that, but I gotta respect him for this. Maybe he was all liquored up, or something, but I still gotta respect him for this. Maybe he'll agree to take on Shannon Brown in a pay-per-view bar fight, too.

Nothing to hold a parade over, but it should be acknowledged the Browns have seriously reduced the penalties, especially those self-imposed offensive wounds.

It took a 72-yard jaunt to accomplish it, but the Browns have also attained their top two rushing totals in successive weeks and again approached 30 points in scoring---both achievements essentially negated by defensive ineptitudes, however.

Monday's contest may have been testimony to how valuable Sean Jones is as a tackler. Though he has his flaws and misses his share, too, Sean obscures some of the pathetic play around him with conclusive tackles. If he can't go, maybe it is time to see Hamza Abdullah in there, saving Adams for situational/rotational use.

It has been written before, but bears repeating: Savage has drafted nine LBs since taking over but has yet to land a single impact performer or even one who excels in any one phase of positional play. (That is quite difficult to do, if you think about it.)

my thoughts on that crap game last night:

1. phil dawson is the man. wow! that guy is the best outdoor kicker i have seen in my life. nobody adjusts to the conditions better than him. he has gone from o.k. kicker to amazing in my eyes.

2. romeo crennel finds new ways to make me ill. aside from his usual poor clock management and poor play calling (i know that is chud but i blame crennel) he manages to yet again fail to hold a player accountable for his actions. what i am talking about? merrill hoge found a great example of "quitting" on the pregame show. there is nothing else to call it. brandon mcdonald flat out stop playing on the play. didn't even pretend to try. what does crennel do? keeps him out of the first series (one freakin' play!) and then lets him play the rest of the game. i could care less that he played o.k. no discipline! no accountability! and NO respect for the fans! i used to think "romeo is a nice guy but he needs to go" but now it's "i never want to see his face again". i'm flat out pissed that this kind of crap is tolerated.

romeo-you make me want to puke.

3. quinn didn't look great but we saw what happens when anderson is having the same type of game----the redskins game. the difference is that anderson can't complete a short pass. hence, the loss. sure, quinn owes dawson big time but at least brady managed a few drives. goodbye derek.

4. jamal lewis looks like he is shot. i like how he plays but that tippy toe dancing crap when he gets the ball kills his running. this team needs an rb bad.

5. which brings us to harrison. 4 touches. another reason crennel makes me sick. every knowledgable fan knows the guy can help but morons crennel and chud have barely used him. well, the whole country saw it last night.

6. more ghost defense from defensive genius crennel's unit. this team has consistenly been among the worst tackling teams in the league since rebirth. why does every unknown back in the league have big games against the browns? because crennel sucks, that's why.
