Bolt "dominated against inferior competition???" The guy set the WORLD RECORD. What's the difference who his competition was? Hell, if he dominated against "inferior competition," and merely competed against himself, then it makes his achievement even MORE impressive, if that was possible. Jeez, Louise, the guy was doing the boogaloo long before the damn race even ended, and STILL set the freakin' WORLD RECORD. If Tyson Gay was in the race, all that would have happened is he would have set a greater world record.

And please, Doom, cut the "compelling story" nonsense. NBC's producers have you hypnotized.

Unlike Bolt and Phelps who dominated against inferior competition (injured Tyson Gay and early retiree Ian Thorpe)...

Jeremy Wariner and LaShawn Merritt are both at the top of their games and could push one another to threaten Michael Johnson's amazing WR time in the 400m.

But we have yet seen the most compelling story of the games.

No story can compare to what the American Men's Volleyball team is on the verge of accomplishing for their devastated coach, Hugh McCutcheon and his extended family.
Should they win gold, w/ him on the bench, I believe it will be the most emotionally charged medal ceremony in history... and Phelps aside, truly deserves to be THE defining moment of this Olympiad.
