One day it will happen

Red Sox fans on the T after the game were singing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" and "Sweet Caroline" and generally whooping it up pretty good on the streets.
To the victors ….
But you just wonder when the local team will win one of these. The Indians had three chances to close out the ALCS and didn't.
Someday it will happen for a Cleveland team. Someday.
We just have to keep believing that.
Meanwhile, let's not let the disappointment of losing that 3-1 ALCS lead obscure what was an outstanding season. And let's not forget that the core of this Cleveland team is under contract for next season. Those are good things, right?

Wait until next year!
The Indians had a great year but I do hope they make some tweaks.
The organization takes a conservative, play the odds approach that undervalues aggressive athleticism, in my estimation. It usually works in the long haul of a 162-game season, as the Oakland A's usually show.
But that philosophy's shortcomings were perfectly illustrated last night–taking Westbrook out one inning too early, holding Lofton at third and all the seeing-eye ground balls that squeeked through the infield.

Was it just me, or were the Red Sox able to shoot the ball around the field like a marble, which I don't think our defense was ready for - that won big difference between Game 3 and Game 7. But I don't think they were ready. I think the difference between the Indians, and say the Tigers or the White Sox, is this team is built for the long haul. With this experience under their belts, I think next year could be different, and in a good way. Go Rockies!

It is tough to have hope gang. I don't believe in curses, but come ON…..

I think that Pat McManamon is the best sports writer in the Cleveland Area. Way to go, Pat!
