Without any subpoena power and no testimony under oath, it seems like a total dog and pony show to me. Although, I do remember your former guy Pluto was (and still is) so gung-ho homerish, he actually wrote that Thome was always clean. Why, you ask? Well, because he saw Thome's father, who was also a larger guy. Well, there you have it. Irrefutable proof that Thome was on nothing but Wheaties. Betcha Hafner used. Maybe still is using, since human growth hormone still stupidly isn't tested. God forbid blood samples are taken of American pro athletes instead of just their urine, it might intrude upon a guy's inalienable God-given human rights. But I think you're right, other than the initial heavy curiosity factor, nobody will give a damn, particularly since the 15-day suspensions they're giving is a freaking joke.
