For the Rockies fans out there, here is a good story to keep your head about yourself as you prepare to watch Game 2 of the World Series tonight.
The Cavaliers are getting dissed nationwide as the season is about to get started. Here is the SI.com view.
Anybody remember Mickey Monus? He has an original connection with the Rockies. Here is an ESPN.com feature.
Mark Sanchez, the new quarterback at Southern Cal, shows how real life plays a part in the mind-set of being an athlete. Yahoo! Sports write a well-done feature.

Since all you're going to provide on this blog are links…here you go…http://www.cleveland.com/pluto/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/119356066789940.xml&coll=2 Boy, the B.J. truly does suck.

What's the deal with the pro-Danny Ferry articles?
The man has put together the worst post-Finals offseason for an NBA team that I can think of, yet you've got a couple writers falling all over each other trying to be the first to congratulate him on his good work.
It's getting to be a joke.

Larry, jokes are usually funny. Or sometimes somewhat "sad," but simultaneously bitterly funny, like when professional comedy writers used to mock Joe Piscopo. For years, they burnt that guy to a satiric crisp. But this ain't funny. Actually, it is rather pathetic. And frankly, I don't get it. Why is it happening? You're wrong, larry, it's not "getting" to be a joke. No, it's long past the "getting" part.
I kinda had hoped this blog would provide a kind of an "insider's" perspective of what's going on at the paper, along with the usual entertaining blog chatter not necessarily having to do with anything in particular. But far more often than not, it has devolved into Larry King's old USA Today column. If anybody out there remembers that piece of ….uh…. work, which incredibly ran in USA Today for almost 20 years, then you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Ron, are you listening?
