Why should Kent State return a penny to Ohio State? Ohio State was a very eager and willing accomplice. Partners in crime. Why have a bye week if you can simply schedule a patsy, sell 100,000 tickets to rabid idiots, and then serve them grossly overpriced concessions made of pig's lips and rat droppings?

Doug Martin should do the right thing and return about $325,000 of that $650,000 back to Ohio State. To only play the 1st team for a little more than one quarter means you have either completely blown out your opponent or that you don't want to win. And if you don't want to win then don't coach or play the game. No wonder Kent doesn't have a winning tradition with coaches like Martin.

G-Mann, the "greedy OSU program" and the "greedy Big 10?" Why do you think Kent State originally agreed to play Ohio State in the first place? I'll give you a hint: it wasn't for noble reasons.

Long before the game even started, the head coach himself said he was going to let his best guys sit. So in light of this fact, why did Kent State even bother to agree to put Ohio State on its 2007 football schedule? I'll give you 650,000 reasons!

So please, let's cut the ridiculous "greedy" crap. $650,000. It's all about the money, and nobody is immune. Including the Golden Flashes. Whatever the hell a Golden Flash is.

I agree - I usually pull for the Buckeyes (except when they play Kent) and would watch it if they were on TV. However, thanks to the Big Ten Network, I've learned that I can live with checking ESPN for scoring updates if I want. I give my money to Kent, and will continue to do so.

Hey Thomas. You are almost there. Now just realize that 3 million people in Northeast Ohio have 2 Division 1 teams and several other quality non greedy programs to follow and start writing about that instead of the the oh so greedy OSU program and the even more greedy Big 10.

Ya know, I've survived without OSU football taking up my Saturday afternoons JUST FINE. If the greedy Big Ten wants to hoarde its product on a cable tier that I won't be held hostage for, go right ahead! I hear it's been a big flop already! Drive your fans further away, and soon we won't give a crap at all. Yeah, I'll be at the Akron game, as I have been all season (both at OSU and the KSU game). At least I'm not robbed for a ticket at the gate, and I can tailgate in peace. I'll also have my radio for Tribe updates. So go suck an egg, Big Ten Network. Out of sight, out of mind! And when the Buckeyes are finally playing on regular network TV vs. Michigan and in the Nat'l. Championship game, I'll tune in. Til then...who needs ya? And who needs these piddlin' games vs. no competition either? Sure, it's nice when Hillbilly State upsets the Wolverines, but those things don't happen in Columbus.

All true, and what fascinates me are all the putzes that suffered nervous breakdowns when they discovered the games were only going to be on the Big Ten Network. I guess you can't hail from Pittsburgh and expect to understand this particular mental midget mentality.

To give you a perfect example, Andy Katzenmoyer, the poster boy for everything that will always be wrong with college athletics, recently got himself a glorious puff piece published on the front page of the Columbus Dispatch sports section. It was outrageous and reprehensible, but that's Ohio State football for you, and the media will always be a ridiculously eager and willing accomplice.

Better yet, come out to the Akron game! Tickets are cheap, the team is slightly exciting to watch, it should be a decent game and, best yet, it's not An Ohio State or the Flushes.
