Ditto what alan t. said. Why don't you at least try Mr. Ledgard. This is a town without a NHL team, why would we care?

Seriously, Ron, your post is just plain nonsense. Come on. The only reason you don't read much about off-the-ice stuff is because few people care about hockey, with the exception of the niches in the specific markets that have the franchises. Hell, just recently, Alex Ovechkin was in a bar fight in Russia. One of the NHL's biggest stars was doing his best Shannon Brown impression, the only real difference being that Brown is often mistaken for an ugly WNBA woman. Why didn't this receive much press? Because nobody cares. One of the Blue Jackets' stiffs, Bryan Berard, was nailed for steroids. Why didn't this human pin cushion receive much press? Because nobody cares. I could go on and on and on, but why bother.

Yes, the NHL can be a good game, and if you have a high-definition 57" inch set, like I do, the game is admittedly very entertaining to watch on Mark Cuban's channel and on VS. The high-definition and big screen makes all the difference in the world. But get real, the NHL has plenty of riff-raff just like every other sport. The difference being white guys with weird foreign accents don't usually walk into a bar wearing girly braids, baseball hats and hoodies.
