Windy has much better things to do, alan.

He has been holed up in the basement of the palace, where Ferry and the Cavs PR Director have been prepping him for his upcoming book tour.

Speaking of the Cavs' shiny new practice facility (with lots of shiny new executive offices), why don't you order one of your writers to actually write something very substantive and very important. Like how the owners of Cleveland's NBA franchise methodically raped, pillaged and plundered the City of Cleveland in order to build what you refer to as "Dan Gilbert's Palace?" Or would writing something extremely pointed and critical about the wealthy and the powerful egregiously violate the local media's Unwritten Code?

Would it be so bad to keep the name "Jacobs Field" and allow excessive signage for whatever company buys the rights? How can you build tradition when it changes every 10 years or so? I think the Browns did it the right way, but I'm not looking forward to attending Opening Day 2008 at Insert Name and Money Here Ballpark.

Call me an old geezer, but it's just a darn shame that sports stadiums and arenas aren't known by the same name for their entirety. I still call Cleveland's arena "Gund Arena", and everyone knows what I'm talking about.
