As a former 'C' student, I'm appalled and insulted.
Let me get this straight … You don't do anything, nobody else wants your restricted free agents, and you get a 'C?' Man, talk about 21st century grade inflation. In 1979, I could have used Burns as my college professor. Even at Ohio State, I actually had to work to get a grade like that.
If doing nothing somehow rates a "C," exactly what would a team have to do (or not do) to achieve an "F" ???
You have to be more proactive to achieve an "F," a la Ted Stepien or Ferry circa summer of 2005.
This year, I guess Ferry could have cut LeBron, or extended the contracts he gave to Marshall, Hughes and Damon Jones.
Uh-oh. Say it ain't so, Joe. Is larry going soft? I don't see 'ol Z's name in the second paragraph. Can't possibly be an unintentional oversight. My world no longer has any meaning. The sky is a deep grey. No, check that, it's almost black.
I'm all about Z these days. I hear he's been working on that fall away scoop-hook shot again this summer, but this time from 3-point range. If Brown has any brains at all, Big Z will be initiating the offense from out there beyond the arc this season.
