Talkin', the guy attacked ME. It appears you're doing the same. So who's actually being "contrary" and "argumentative" here? Here, I'll give you a hint: it ain't me. I humbly apologize for having actual opinions concerning the actual subjects posed. That's the entire point for having a comments section, isn't it? The writer writes something in a blog looking for reactions from his readers. Then a reader reacts to it. If there are reader comments that may add to and/or provoke an intelligent discussion regarding the subjects and issues posed, then there are additional comments. The process is really not all that complicated.

But what are you here posting about, may I ask? Do I play for the Browns? For the Cavs? For the Indians? For the Columbus Crew? For Danica Patrick's pit crew? For John Daly's cigarette company? If the answer to all of these questions is "no," then the next time you get the urge to post, a bathroom mirror might come in handy before you decide it's a cerebral and insightful idea to throw Internet stones.

Boy, this alan t. character seems to monopolize every Beacon weblog I click on. FYI: that isn't cool, editors. Can't you block out his nonsense? He seems so contrary and argumentative with every person's post.

Speaking of "outlandish posts," I'd hazard a guess that the vast majority of readers would still read this blog, notwithstanding the fact that you purport to speak for the readership, Pigskin Guy. "Interactive" isn't a requirement to read somebody else's blog. Furthermore, if your posts are being "scrutinized" and "censored" by the Beacon Journal's assistant sports editor, if your post above is any indication, there is probably a very good reason why.

If I may make a suggestion to the assistant sports editor, if you want to bring attention to the actual newspaper's sports pages, how about running a contest with prizes. Have a contest where people predict the actual game and time of quarter when Quinn enters his first game.

Incidentally, if people's posts are not posted here without ridiculous scrutiny and censorship (while A.Tucker's outlandish posts continue to show up), you will lose all readership. Either this is an interactive blog…or it's not, and you should get a newspaper column or something.
