I checked at the grocery store again, and it was a magazine called Men's Health. Instead of actually dealing with men's health, evidently their latest issue is aimed at a slightly more "Jeff Garcia-ish" target audience, if you know what I mean. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I liked the BQ beefcake shot. And Thomas sure BETTER start. Sit on THIS team?? Are you freakin' kidding me? If DA is our starting QB, ohhhhh boy. Hello 4-12 season. Is Frye still saying this is "my team?" Frankly, I want to see what Quinn can do soon. Browns don't have the luxury of waiting, like other teams have done. Roethlesberger came from the stinkin' MAC & puny Miami, for pete's sake, and was a leaguewide wonder in his rookie year. Quinn has played on the BIG STAGE for four years under a former pro coach. Who is better prepared, I ask you? And I guarantee Brady looks a lot better with his shirt wide open than the grotesque motorcycle-man in Pittsville.

Finally, if Cowher will come here to coach, I'd hire him this afternoon. I am, unfortunately, losing all confidence in both Romeo and Savage. If two longtime football minds can't get on the same winning page, I'd love to know the point(s) of contention.

I'd bet that offensive tackles taken in the top five usually start right away.

But if Thomas can't start, Romeo's already as good as fired and Brady Quinn is just a bellyaching flop, Lerner should go ahead and get rid of the whole bunch now and start over with a new GM.

What's he waiting on, training camp?

I meant a guy with his shirt wide open, not a guy with his wide shirt open. Oh, who cares. The point is if he can't beat out Charlie Frye, then he shouldn't be posing for anything but a wedding photo.

I was at the grocery store last night, and I'm in the magazine section looking for Consumer Reports. As I'm scanning the racks trying to find it, my eyes glaze over what appears to be Brady Quinn on the cover. I get closer, and it's one of those men's exercise magazines. I'm pretty sure it's not him, because it's a serious beefcake shot. A guy with his wide shirt open, exposing a shaved and waxed chest and abs. He's looking into the camera with a "come hither" look. So I look around on the cover to see if I see Quinn's name. And yep, sure enough, it was a picture of Brady Quinn.

For what magazine is this dude going to pose next? Blueboy? I'm all for a guy's agent trying to sell his client, but not like this.
