Our very own one-hit wonder. Who would've thought Casey could be thought of as one of the Tribe's "most consistent" players? But when you roll the dice with subpar players like Nixon, Delluci and Michaels in the outfield, that's what ya get. After area fans were spoiled with the recent greats, is it any wonder we can't get behind these .250 hitters (if we're lucky), even if the team IS winning? With the dead weight in the bullpen, and the team on the verge of just cutting loose a quality young starting lefthanded pitcher, we start to wonder just how these wacky roster decisions are made, and by who. Cleveland cannot win a World Series playing favorites with washed up players, like Hernandez, Boone (recent) and the outfielders mentioned. And seriously, is Blake really the guy you'd want in the clutch at the plate? Nuff said?
