Not talking about patriotic tunes (although there's a reference to Independence Day in "Tears of Rage"). More about songs whose roots are deep in U.S. soil. And "Whipping Post" because it would be so much fun to dance around a grill while it was blasting from the speakers in the house.

Reports have it that Delaney Bramlett has died. Very sad. As the leader of Delaney & Bonnie (with his now ex-wife Bonnie) Bramlett did some superb music, with Eric Clapton and with his own band.
