I have looked for a movie called "Splash II". I think the original movie was on ABC and did not have Tom Hanks as the star. I would appreciate any help finding this movie.

I don't even bother with TWC anymore, even when I'm traveling. I started noticing that they had stopped showing weather way back in 2003ish, when I was in South Carolina during Hurricane Charlie and I couldn't even get a radar map.

I still love Jim Cantore though.

I'd think you've seen articles about this. Maybe you should do a column on how it's not true, showing how Obama differs from the Nazis and the 'V' lizards.

I agree with your assessment of this week's show. I really thought I would scream watching Ericka cry and count those bells. She was irritating and I thought this was it for them. I was surprised by Maria & Tiffany's meltdown and I have to agree, the way things played out, I thought maybe I'd missed something in previous episodes and that they were a couple. I know they thought the brothers were hot...but, the way things ended Sunday, I thought there was more to their relationship than friendship!

This column is dead-on. I remember when Bravo actually had decent programming, not a plethora of in name-only housewives, ill-mannered private school children, etc. I can understand the desire to diversify, but when channels deviate from their main focus they usually end up a mere shadow of their former (albeit better) self. MTV and VH1 come to mind.

I don't think M&T are a couple. They made a pretty big deal out of them flirting with S&D at the start of the race - that probably explains the close-up. I couldn't believe that Brian reread the clue, saw that they needed bikes and DIDN'T GO BACK! Duh! Then they borrowed bikes from some random people (because that's what the producers had in mind). And, I know there were a lot of bells, but every other team got the correct number pretty quickly. The Globetrotters were cheerful and friendly as usual (did you notice how, when they were describing the trash talk from last week, that all of the other teams were laughing? I don't think there was any love loss when Mika and what's-his-name went home).

Strangely, I have seen every episode of this show, and I find myself liking it less and less. Whereas season one was a hoot--I found it more of a dark comedy poking fun at 60's sterotypes, the last two seasons have been bleak and dark and often times way too self involved.

And, Erika and Brian were equally hesitant about the slide, but they sucked it up and did it. It's a race with challenges, it's not about having tea in the Louvre (unless it is).

Add to the list "if you don't know how to drive stick" and "you are afraid of dark, small spaces." Sam and Dan not understanding what to do with the numbers was a little amazing. Meghan and Cheyne did a great job - they just seem like a nice young couple. We had a lot of discussion on my posting board about the Globetrotters behavior. I think they trash talked because they thought they should (they're athletes and they're in a competition), but it was forced on their part. And Mika didn't really seem fazed by what they were saying - she had already made up her mind. On the other hand, many people said that Canaan was out of line, esp when he was trying to force her onto the slide and she was screaming for help.

Dear Rich,
Can I ask a question about the little viewed channel 23 and ION television? First what are their ratings and I never see ANY local commercials- dont they sell any??I actually like some of their shows/movies.
And secondly, I read a while back that they had bought the rights to Durham County, The Border, and The Guard, all from Canadian tv. But Ive only seen the Durham county series. What happened to the others??
And finally, will they ever go HD? I see both channels 17 and 47 (67) are now HD.
 Thanks for your time!!

Considering Robin's "spaklled" past life as a Canadian popstar, you know she's thinking she would make a better Rachel--even though she's probably more of a Quinn.

The first 13 were done pretty early, since a top Fox exec said he had seen them all when he announced a full-season pickup for the show in late September. But I don't know if the show would have dropped the storyline after seeing fan reaction. I'd hope so. As for Canada, all I know is that the show airs on one of the Canadian networks and so it may make promos tailored for more its audience. Do you suppose Robin Scherbatsky is a fan?

About Glee, this episode was Jane Lynch's Emmy reel for best Supporting Actress in a comedy. This plus the last 3 episodes show they deserve Comedy ensemble SAG award. Rich, you may be able to confirm this, but I heard they finished the first 13 episodes prior to the season beginning, so this may explain why they haven't dropped the fake pregnancy storyline yet. Finally, why do you think the Canadians got a different preview for next week episode than we did?

I thought Modern Family was really funny last night. I usually do ok switching back and forth between it and Glee - but last night I stuck with it for the entire show and laughed out loud several times. While it's still a sit-com, they do a great job painting real emotions, which makes it relatable.
