(From EW.com)

You can read my review of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" here. As you can read, I liked parts of it but grew weary of it. Making great comic-books movies — making great movies, period — is hard. But the bar is set pretty high right now. I didn't get into a lot of Wolverine mythology minutiae in the piece because I was trying to write for the people who were curious about the film, or had seen the others, but had never read nor cared about the comic-book background.

If you want to see where my review fits with others, you can find reviews of the movie via Rotten Tomatoes, which as of last night had links to pieces from the Arizona Daily Star, Arizona Republic, USA Today, New York Daily News, New York Post, Orlando Sentinel and other publications. The L.A. Times review is here. Roger Ebert's review is here. Entertainment Weekly (Lisa Schwarzbaum) is here. Not putting myself in the same league as any of those folks, just offering other points of view — and noting the large body of critical reaction out there.

Today's mailbag column is here.
