End of the road …
for Laura & Sophie, and with it the end of my local-angle viewing.
I indicated a couple of weeks ago that they were due to be eliminated. But it may not have been just their singing that took them down. Judge John Rich made a point of bringing up one of them eye-rolling during Jewel's comments a week ago, and how disrespectful it seemed, and Jewel chimed in about it as well.
Didn't watch much of the rest of the show, since I was flipping over to the Home Run Derby a bunch, but from what I saw, I'm still leaning toward a Melissa Lawson/Gabe Garcia final.

Not only did Laura and Sophie not seem ready for a competition at this level, they didn't seem ready to be a musical partnership. It was like they hadn't thought about being career musicians until NBC brought it up. I'm sure they'll survive.
