Speaking of "Idol," I sat in on a conference call with Carly Smithson on Thursday, and my notes are here. One thing I neglected to mention in the story was how quickly she is going to be back on the "Idol" bus. She said they start work in two weeks on the final telecast and the tour.
Also, I had a chat with Crispin Glover last Saturday, and the print result is here. I was well aware of his reputation when we talked, but he was polite and pleasant. As I mention in the story, he was insistent about the interview being recorded. But given his history with the media, I can understand his wish.
