Results and ruminations after the jump …

Frosti
Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out

After a couple of dazzling weeks of "Survivor' finishes (the idol-that-wasn't, the two-idols-but-play-none gamble), this one was just routine. We've seen the food-or-challenge temptation before, and this time so many took advantage that it seemed less a matter of hunger than meanness and arrogance.

And Frosti's ouster wasn't even a close vote, although it could be a factor if Courtney gets to a jury vote, since he appeared to be her Courtney more than anyone for his going home.

There was, though, a cliffhanger, with the tribal council vote followed by Probst's declaration that there was more business to do. Speculation here: that they had to vote off a second person. "Survivor" encouraged that with a promo for next week in which not all the players were visible. But that seems too obvious.

Maybe James is going to get penalized for eating too many cheeseburgers?
