in Dancing With the Stars

Details from tonight, which is not a travesty, after the jump …

Jane
Shall we dedicate this dance to MY LEG?

Jane is going home.

The sequence in the much padded show: Marie, not present because of the death of her father, was first declared safe. Then Cameron, Mel B and Helio. Left Jennie and Jane, although the show said that was not the bottom two, just someone safe with someone not. (This leads me to believe that Marie was the other half of the bottom two, and the show didn't want to say that.) Then Jane got the news.

Can't complain too much. She's been getting by on sympathy votes and elegance instead of real dance-floor skills. And she has done a lot of complaining, including in that endless argument about the lifts. So bye bye.

Can you tell me the connection between Jennie Garth and Ken Kercheval (Crossing Jordan/White Shadow)? Everytime Jennie dances, we get a shot of him and my mother and I are confused – did we miss something? Thank you in advance!

That's Ken Howard, actually. Ken Kercheval was on "Dallas." I thought I saw him in the audience, too, but don't have an immediate explanation of why. Will see if I can find an answer to post later.

I'm sorry about the wrong Ken; someone needs to let IMDB they've got that wrong too. I appreciate the effort either way.
