		<description>It's a sad way for newspapers to go--they've been cheapening the product since USA Today came out 25 years ago, never thinking that if newspapers became better and more in-depth, they'd still have an audience.

You have to blame the owners. They prefer salespeople to journalists when it's time to hire someone to run the paper.</description>
