Still reeling over Jericho's cancellation. CBS botched this big time with that 3 month hiatus, killing the momentum the show was gaining. I can't believe they are willing to sacrifice 8 million viewers on an unknown. Lots of angry backlash across the internet, calling for a boycott of CBS altogether. Can't say I disagree....sick to death of CSI gore, inane reality shows and such.

I'm glad to see Shark is coming back. I don't know anyone else who watches it, so I was afraid it would go away. I'm not a huge James Woods fan in general, but I like the show's cast, its contemporary feel and (so far) plotlines that aren't ripped from the headlines. (I like Law & Order too, but appreciate the skill involved in creating storylines.)

And they're doing the same thing to the new Monday comedy that they did last year to The Class (which would probably have come back if it was on another network - it's a good show). I am happy about HIMYM. Now that Ted and Robin have broken up, the show can loosen up a little.

That's always the England-to-US TV question. Some shows have made it work, most recently "The Office."

I'm really looking forward to Viva Laughlin, though it sounds a trifle more optimistic and happy than Viva Blackpool was (though I guess that did end on a pretty happy note in the final episode). But how will they be able to sustain 22 episodes compared to six in the original British series?

Well, "Cop Rock" is probably best forgotten. But, as the announcement notes, "Laughlin" is based on the cool BBC series "Viva Blackpool." And the Brits have a long history of dramas with music, through the works of Dennis Potter ("Singing Detective," "Pennies From Heaven," "Lipstick on Your Collar").

Good to see HIMYM is back, I was a little worried. Also, is CBS doing a weekly musical drama? Am I reading that right? That is something different, I guess.
