When In Doubt … Lee Jordan!

With Stefani Schaefer's swift departure from Channel 5 (hastened so she can get to work on her new national show), Channel 5 has gone to one of its all-purpose players, Lee Jordan, to fill the gap. (Consumer advisory: Channel 5 has a news partnership with the Beacon Journal.) And why not, at least for the short term? She's a solid on-air presence. Anyway, here's the announcement:
WEWS NewsChannel 5 announces that Lee Jordan will join Leon Bibb as co-anchor for NewsChannel 5’s Live On Five newscast beginning Monday, October 16th.
"Lee’s legacy in Cleveland and solid anchoring skills make her a perfect fit again for Live On Five, a newscast rich in history," states News Director Steve Hyvonen. Lee, who first anchored Live On Five in the early 90s, replaces Stefani Schaefer who is leaving the station to become co-anchor of a new, daytime show that will air in several markets across the nation. Lee’s assignment to Live On Five is in addition to her role as co-anchor of NewsChannel 5 at 6PM and 11PM with Ted Henry.
