		<description>Being from the South and of a certain age, I remember a time when grown men wore blue seersucker suits and "summer weight" hats to work.  So I always assumed that, regardless of what "Night Stalker" suggested, the show took place below the Mason-Dixon line.  It's atmosphere seemed to take a cue from Faulkner's view of the South - "The past isn't even dead and isn't even past".  The show scared the bejeezus out of me every week.



My family pays tribute to McGavin several times a year in a variety of settings with one word:  Fra - geee - leee!
