roybot.....I would have thought that all you pro-business and pro-insurance company types could get a good nights sleep knowing that the insurance companies pretty much wrote the legislation.

the legislation would end the exemptions from federal antitrust restrictions on price gouging, bid rigging and market allocation. Oh Lord, how is an insurance company CEO ever going to be able to make $25,000,000 again under this legislation?

Walter, I think the insurance companies had way more to do with this thing than they should have had, but who actually put out the final product? I think that Nancy and gang who really wrote it and then "changed" parts of it yesterday to "buy" votes are totally responsible for the finished product and that they wrote it for something other than insurance reform. The truth will come out later, but as for now we have a bill that had 90 pages more than people are writing here plus a 40 page manager's amendment. That 130 would have been very long 20 years ago but then no really important bills from this bunch and administration have showed up. That indicates to me that all the lobbyist groups in DC are getting in their thoughts. The part about this one is that Obama promised that those hateful lobbyists wouldn't be allowed to function in his administration. When does he throw them out? LOl LOL LOL Maybe never,

I don't know why anyone would think that a Rep. would read any of the 1900+ pages of the bill......that would be the job of their staffs.

there are 535 Reps. Let's say each Rep. has a staff of 3 reading the bill. 535 X 3= 1605. So you have 1605 people combing thru 1900+ pages.

I wouldn't think that the insurance companies would have anyone combing thru the bill.....why would they, the insurance companies wrote it

I can hardly wait for King's "objective" and "fact filled" post on Major Hasan.

He has a good start here...

"Those nitwits initially attributed Hasan's mass murders to post-traumatic stress disorder. Pretty hard to have PTSD when you haven't been in combat. Maybe the Lames are inventing a new disorder, PRE-traumatic stress. The Lames are also attempting to spin the story away from terrorism, in spite of the known facts pointing directly to terrorism, complete with 'alahu akhbars'."

The "known facts pointing directly to terrorism." Like I said, objective.

Rev, I guess you enjoy being lied to. I don't.

joe, I might put something together about Ft. Hood, but I want to wait for the facts to come out first. That takes awhile with our Lame Stream Media.
Just keep telling yourself that Rev.

As for the length of the bill, I haven't seen anyone (including King here) criticize it just for being long, the criticism is that it's going to be passed before it is completely read by the people who are voting on it. If you have a 1,900 page bill that's going to cost a lot of money and affect a lot of people, please take the time to read and understand it completely before voting.

That's right angry.

To King's post: Conservatives often criticize the length of the bill, 1900+ pages,....and then they go on to criticize the representatives who haven't read the bill....apparently because, the bill is too long.

I don't get that criticism. We're dealing with $1 trillion here, $100 billion per year for 10 years. Think we should write the bill on a cocktail napkin? If you haven't noticed, the U.S. is the richest, most complex and powerful society man has ever known.....the only logical question to the fact that the $1 trillion congressional bill is some 1900 pages, is......is that all the longer it is?

To the Obama criticism. This guy is the most actively engaged president since Clinton....and Obama is a better organizer and speaker. Obama is the smartest president in a long while, and despite what all King says in his post....Obama already is responsible for changing, even if ever so slightly, the country for the better. Give him 3 more years and a re-election and he'll help to transform America into a respectable place again. Change comes slowly, democratic change.

Everyone complains about the big busiuness mentality that we are to big to be allowed to fail . Yet the same people accept the ever expanding government boondoggles. The old saying you get the government you deserve is becoming more aprops by the day.

I don't know how many people agree with us about why Obama has to have that healthcare abortion passed but those that don't really aren't alive. We know that it has to do with finally getting one of his major campaign promises passed. He doesn't know, nor does Nasty Nancy or any of her friends, just what is in that 1990 pages of crap but they must have it passed as soon as they can get it.

I am thinking that Nancy set the date for her vote and has over 24 hours left to move it to a new date. I think the elections Tuesday and the success of Representatives Bachmann and King yesterday may force her to do some retwisting of arms, especially all those Blue Dogs.

I wonder if Obama could possibly manage to have to accept defeat on this part of his determined increase of our indebtedness. I am thinking he and Rahm may have to go into seclusion for a time to recover.

You mentioned what this bill will do to Medicare and I can't see anything other than doing away with the purported fraud in the program being necessary. THEY want to take away up to $50 billion each year, even for the 4 years that no money is spent. What would those Dems do with that $200 billion taken before anyone realizes anything from the bill/law? They couldn't stand to have it just lie there so they would have to spend it for something else and then apologize later. The CEO of AARP may have approved this abortion but the thousands of members who have failed to renew don't. I feel very free although membership dues aren't enough to hurt anybody. He will no longer spend any of my money advertising his insurance programs.

It seems as though the Dems will sign anything that calls itself healtcare reform, no matter how bad or unthoughtout(is that a word) that plan is. The govt, especially the libs have again not considered the future ramifications of these plans. Just as in Ohio when they imposed the smoking ban and 300K restaurant, club and bar jobs were lost costing us hundreds of millions in tax revenue, not including the business' that were closed.) Has the cancer rate or heart problems gone down?

King I hope you will address the terrorist attack at Fort Hood in the coming days. This isn't the only muslim extremist attack or conspiracy that has taken plae from within our military.
