In both McVeigh's time and, now, in the TeaBagger time, the theme of anti-democracy is the same. McVeigh didn't like the federal government's leadership then under Clinton, Teabaggers don't like the federal government's leadership under Obama. Both Democrats. And all that despite the fact that both of those presidents were elected by the people.

The only folks comparing McVeigh to the Founders are the TeaBaggers whom you now identify with. No, they don't do it explicitly, but I have no doubt that that is what all those "Dont' Tread on Me" flags and "tree of liberty" posters are all, wrongly, suggesting.

Question. If one sign out of 1,000 at a Tea Party event refers to Nazis, does that make it the focal point of the protest ? You'd certainly think so if you watch the Lame Stream Media or listen to the Reverend. Unfortunately, that is not factual. It's just an attempt at misdirection.

The most common protest sign at the Tea Party events, by a wide margin, says "Don't Tread On Me," which is a reference to our out-of-control big government and it's inherent trampling of rights. THAT is the focal point of the protests.

By the way, the last 3 times I tried to comment in your column its never appeared in the posting as far as I could tell. Have I been blacklisted? Politically incorrect or something?

What I was trying to say as I recall was that I doubt seriously that there is anyone alive who is 100% right or wrong, but the further out on the fringes you get ( and You seem to be further out than most of the people you call fringe dwellers) the closer you get to being wrong all of the time.
