Lack of enforcement would have EVERTHING to do with illegals being covered by ObamaCare. If there's no enforcement, many of them would be covered. That was my original point. Then I SAID illegals get all kinds of entitlement benefits already, and you asked for proof. I provided that proof, and now you are arguing with your imagination.

Emergency Medicaid
Emergency Medicaid may pay for the care of unauthorized aliens, nonimmigrants, and LPRs
within the first five years of arrival (or longer if the state does not exercise the option to provide
coverage for LPRs after the five years) for emergency conditions if they meet the other eligibilityrequirements of the Medicaid program.41 Specifically, aliens who are otherwise eligible for
Medicaid except for their immigration status (e.g., unauthorized aliens, nonimmigrants) may
receive “medical assistance under Title XIX of the Social Security Act … for care and emergency
services that are necessary for the treatment of an emergency medical condition (as defined in
Section 1903(v)(3) of such Act) of the alien involved and are not related to an organ transplant
procedure.”

Some have expressed concerns that since H.R. 3200 does not contain a mechanism to verify
immigration status, the prohibitions on certain noncitizens (e.g, nonimmigrants and unauthorized aliens) receiving the credits may not be enforced. However, others note that under §142(a)(3) of
the bill, it is the responsibility of the Health Choices Commissioner (Commissioner) to administer
the “individual affordability credits under subtitle C of title II, including determination of
eligibility for such credits.” Thus, it appears, absent of a provision in the bill specifying the
verification procedure, that the Commissioner would be responsible for determining a mechanism
to verify the eligibility of noncitizens for the credits.

Only the enforcement provisions that the Dems voted down previously would insure they didn't get access to ObamaCare.

I object right off the bat to your characterizations of the protesters. I know the alleged mainstream media picks out the most extremist voices among the protesters to lampoon to make you THINK we are a bunch of loons, but that is not the case. You are being manipulated. We had a massive gathering in D.C. and there was not one arrest. There was not one disturbance. Not one problem. Some extremist ranting and raving lunatics we are. For that matter, there haven't been any acts of violence from the townhall protesters, except for a few from the left. Contrast that with the left-wing anti-war protest from the Bush era at the same spot in DC., where there were 239 arrests. You didn't hear the media calling them a bunch of nuts.

I most definitely WOULD want Washington to be run by the people with the Don't Tread On Me signs, because I want Washington to be run by people who believe in the Constitution, not people who only look for ways to get around it. That goes for both parties.

And I only responded to HuffPo because YOU brought it up by linking me to it. The message contained in that article was, 'right wingers are nuts, just do what Obama wants.' No thank you.

Walter, I think that The Man has said that he plans to take $600 billion, or so out of Medicare the next 10 years. That must be getting all that money from those doctors since he says he will take that much from Medicare. He says he will not take any of my medical care away from me so so he must intend to take out the corruption.

Now I say he is going to take that amount of care from we old people and the corruption will stay there. You don't even see what I am talking about from your left side of the fence, huh?

King There is a lot to be upset about but do you really think the lunatics who are making all the noise – the lunatics that are ostensibly speaking for the Republican party are going to fix things. For the most part they see like people who just like to complain and rant and rave – malcontents who enjoy the fight but who will not roll up their sleeves and be part of the solution. Would you really want to see Washington run by the people wearing the "Don't Tread on Me Shirts?" It is time for the real conservatives out there to speak up and take back their party and start presenting well thought out articulate ideas that lead to solutions. I don't know about that HuffPo article. I'm no big fan of the GOP myself, especially during the Bush years (though the Dems are worse), but I can find quite a bit to be upset about. These protests aren't about nothing. They're about an awful lot. A federal government $12 trillion in debt and counting, with $55 trillion or so in unfunded entitlement liabilities to start with. The massive increases in federal government spending. Then you have Obama wanting to force people to buy health insurance, Obama wanting the government to takeover health care, the tax increases needed to pay for that, the business killing cap-and-trade bill that will force everyone's utility costs to skyrocket, the unamerican EFCA, the FCC thought police wanting to drive conservative talk radio off the air, the characterizations of the Tea Party protesters as racists, bailouts of every big connected business under the sun, recession, job losses, the Dems promoting one anti-business policy after another in such an environment, enviro-nitwits actually keeping California farmers from growing food and forcing them to go broke, the unnecessary $800 billion stimulus, the Social Security scam…..I could go on and on.

If you ask me, that HuffPo writer is totally out to lunch. The people who AREN'T upset right now are the ones with the problem. They're in absolute denial. This country is on an unsustainable path, and liberals like that HuffPo guy think it's about Obama being black or the Birthers. Duh. It's an insult to everyone's intelligence. Time to wake up and smell the partisan bs.
