Dumber Than A Bag Of Hammers

by Da King on September 9, 2009

in conspiracy theories,media bias,moonbats,Uncategorized

Once again, I thought I was done with Obama's former Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones, but I HAVE to report this. Lord knows our media won't. It turns out that Mr. Jones is not only a 9/11 Truther, but he also thought that America DESERVED to be attacked on 9/11. Like Obama's 20-year pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Van Jones thought 9/11 was America's "chickens coming home to roost," (to quote Rev. Wright). On September 13, 2001, TWO DAYS after 9/11, Jones was a featured speaker at a rally in Oakland where he said the following, according to the far left website, Anti-War:

A recurring theme of the speakers [at the Oakland rally] was the brutal violence committed by or supported by the United States government on a daily basis. "The bombs the government drops in Iraq are the bombs that blew up in New York City," said Van Jones, director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, who also warned against forthcoming violence by the Bush Administration. "The US cannot bomb its way out of this one. Safety at home requires justice abroad."

Un-freaking-believable.

Time for a little history. Those bombs the government dropped in Iraq, of which Van Jones spoke, were dropped by President Clinton, or possibly by Bush Sr., because Bush Jr's Iraq War didn't start until 2003. The previous war with Iraq, the Gulf War, was due to the fact that Saddam Hussein INVADED KUWAIT. I guess Van Jones slept through that. We removed Saddam from Kuwait, liberating that country. We left Saddam in power in Iraq, and setup a list of UN supported conditions as the terms of Saddam's surrender. Saddam violated virtually ALL those conditions in the subsequent years, resulting in 14 UN resolutions being directed against him. Saddam kicked out the UN weapons inspectors in 1998 before they had completed their work, against the UN's wishes, and six weeks later, President Clinton ordered strikes against Saddam's nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons sites. It must also be noted that Saddam USED his chemical weapons repeatedly. He used them against the Kurds and the Iranians, and targeted civilian populations. Saddam also launched SCUD missilies at Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Iran, in addition to invading Kuwait. Saddam had a LONG history of violence, lots of it against his own people, and Saddam gave significant support to terrorist activity, all apparently unknown to the sleeping Van Jones. Saddam wasn't known as The Butcher Of Baghdad for nothing.

Yet, TWO DAYS after 9/11, here's Van "Oblivious" Jones, blaming America for the Al Qaeda attack, using Clinton's (or Bush Sr's) Iraq bombings as his justification and citing AMERICAN INJUSTICE, along with the rest of the lunkhead 'blame America' crowd at that Oakland rally, which was held to denounce AMERICAN violence and racism right after 9/11. I guess Oblivious Jones thought racist old America just liked to blow stuff up for no apparent reason. "It's Tueday, let's bomb Eye-Raq !! Yee-haw !!" What an idiot.

Are they putting drugs in the drinking water out there on the left coast, or what ? Those like Van Jones couldn't be more clueless. As they say, they couldn't find their butt with both hands.

So, when you hear our lying media denounce Glenn Beck for outing Van Jones, as they've done the past few days, especially over on MSLSD (The Propaganda People !), know how completely full of it they are. They are merely covering up the truth. Van Jones shouldn't have gotten close to the White House. Ever. And Obama should have to explain why he did.

(Note to liberals – before you start saying "Glenn Beck told you to say that," or something equally dumb, know that Glenn Beck has NEVER, to my knowledge, reported this).

  • The Reverend

This was Jones' point, not the "bombs" sentence….

"The US cannot bomb its way out of this one. Safety at home requires justice abroad."

"justice abroad"……see that? That's why Islamic extremists do what they do against western countries. Because there is no "justice abroad."

Van Jones is a realist, knowing that American exceptionalism is just so much hogwash…..and that the imperialistic goals of the U.S. are what have caused the animosity we see in Muslim extremities. You, King, on the other hand, think that America, alone, is exceptional and that if Muslims hate us and want to harm us…it's because they are bad.

One more thing…..we can't bomb our way out of this one…..and that's exactly what we're finding out in the quagmires that are Iraq and Afghanistan.

  • alchemist

Why do so many people confuse "Patriotism" with "Nationalism." George Orwell wrote that nationalism was one of the worst enemies of peace. He defined nationalism as the feeling that your way of life, country, or ethnic group were superior to others. These types of feelings lead a group to attempt to impose their morality on any given situation. Patriotism on the other hand was the feeling of admiration for a way of life and the willingness to defend it against attack.

  • larrd

What imperialist goals are you talking about, Reverend?

  • walter

Van Jones said….""The bombs the government drops in Iraq are the bombs that blew up in New York City,"

I don't think Jones was the only person trying to link Iraq to the 9-11…..as I remember Bush, Cheney, Boehner and Rumsfeld were all pushing that angle

  • roysoldboy

But Walter, did you not see the date of the Jones speech and also fail to see that King said that it would be very hard to blame the 2nd Bush since his bombs of "Shock and Awe" didn't start falling till March of 2003 and Jones' speech was delivered in September 2001?

Come on now it is obvious that you and the right Reverend one just don't care at all about timing if you can make it out to be the nasty US is responsible for everything that has come from the Middle East. I think you must be much like the America hating Van Jones. He is one of them, you know or have you listened to any of his racist sounding speeches?

  • The Reverend

    Silly boyz….

….""The bombs the government drops in Iraq are the bombs that blew up in New York City,"

It's a sloppy metaphorical sentence. We reap what we sow was the point, right?

The U.S stations military everywhere. We have over 700 military bases around the world. When we decide to use our military, say, in protecting U.S.-favorite oil guys in Kuwait like we did in 1991, then we shouldn't be surprised when Muslims who object to U.S. intervention on Muslim lands use violence against us.

That was Jones' point, I think….and if that was his point….he's 100% correct.

  • larry d.

So you're saying Iraq was tied in with 9/11. Interesting, but I thought the conventional wisdom was the opposite these days.

  • walter

larry, it's good to see you and roybot on the same wavelength

  • Da King

I'd like to thank all my left-leaning commenters for completely ignoring the history lesson I presented. Instead, Rev and company are off calling America imperialist. Why ? Because we responded to Saddam's invasion of Kuwait ? Because Clinton enforced the UN dictates ? You actually think this is an injustice perpetrated by AMERICA ???? Please refer to the title of this post.

  • Andrea

I don't think you understand what Van Jones was saying.
America's aggression whether it is by Bush, Clinton or Reagan is what caused the hatred against us which led to 9/11 and the more the USA acts like the police chiefs of the world the more of them we create.

  • walter

King, I would tend to think most Americans (most reasonable Americans anyway, certainly not those republicans like yourself who stir this type of false outrage) understand the very simple axiom that if you poke that stick into that hornets nest, you should have a reasonable expectation to get stung.

I think that what brought this message home more than anything else is the invasion and occupation of Iraq where we poked that stick into that hornets nest and it cost us 4343 American lives

  • roysoldboy

Andrea, while you are explaining what caused Muslim hatred for the US maybe you could go a few years back from the Presidents you want to talk about and explain why the much traveled ex-merchant seaman, who was a soldier at the time, told me not to get off the ship in Morocco for the side trip those with enough rank could take. He said to go in their alone would be pure suicide and my chances of being left in an alley with my throat slit would be excellent. He said that Christians stick out like a sore thumb to those people and are fair game for not being Muslims. This my dear lady was in 1957 and I don't think any of the men you talked about were out of high school yet. Well, of course, Reagan was but he was living in Hollywood not DC.

Your case about what caused Muslim hatred for Christians didn't go far enough back in history by almost 1000 years.

  • roysoldboy

Of course, Walter, bin Laden hadn't declared war on the West prior to the invasion of Iraq. Hmmm, it seems to me that you have a different time line than most people who think. Even Kuwait isn't far enough back. How are you going to blame a Bush if you go any further back? I guess you just can't unless your track is a bent a bit left.

  • larry d.

1400 years plus is the number, I think.

  • walter

larry, way to go with the typo smack of roybot.

  • larry d.

I don't think you know what typo smack is, walt, which is curious as it seems like it was your only weapon against that 12 year old girl you wanted so badly to smear.

  • walter

let me get this straight……I don't know what typo smack is but I used it knowingly against a 12yo girl

    OK

  • The Reverend

What about Christian hatred for Muslims? When did that start, exactly? Wasn't that 1400 years ago too?

  • larry d.

Probably, Reverend. But I'm sure it's all Bush's fault anyway.

  • The Reverend

Bush only exacerbated the problem….for political gain.

  • roysoldboy

Rev, that is one of the saddest accusations I have seen from you lefties. Did Bush really bomb the Twin Towers just for political gain? He must have done that to be able to use hatred for Muslims in order to get even for the mistake about his Daddy. How far are we going to go back in history connecting this to that to get Bush blamed for things that happened long before his birth?

  • Da King

I think our lib-nut friends are trying to say that America and the Muslim terrorists are equally to blame.

And that's why they are lib-nuts.

  • roysoldboy

Yeah, King, equality of blame on this subject is nothing more than an excuse, surely not a reason. Their jabs at this are so obviously nothing more than normal lib attempts to make their home country look like the bad guy. I wonder when one of them will attack Jefferson for saying, "Millions for defense, not one red cent for tribute". I really wonder if they will ever accept those words as those of their hero about a Muslim attempt to take advantage of Westerners.

I think I like your title, lib-nut. I will have to insert that in my anti-left vocabulary.

  • Da King

The lib-nuts would rather pay the tribute than stand up for America. If they were in charge the whole time, the Barbary pirates would still be dictating terms.
