Yeah, that E-Verify was a real big obstacle to hiring people. You go to the internet and enter the potential employee's social security number. Then it tells you who he/she is. Whew. Practically like climbing Mt. Everest.

And that limit on hiring TARP employees with foreign visas. That limit wouldn't happen to be about 138,000 foreign employees per month, would it ? That's the current legal limit for immigrants, I believe.

By highly skilled foreign workers they mean financial professionals who actually do the proper paperwork before finding employment in this country, I guess.

That changes nothing about the illegal immigrant numbers, Reverend. Nor does the quote from the ACLU whackjob.

A fairly dishonest post on your part but no worries as you've become pretty transparent lately.

"But in a separate move, conferees kept in the final bill a Senate provision that would restrict the ability of companies receiving federal bailout funds from hiring highly skilled foreign workers, according to congressional aides and industry officials."

"E-Verify is known to create significant delays in hiring new employees, a consequence our economy and American workers should not have to suffer in such difficult economic times."

"The bill's other immigration-related provision would place limits on any company receiving funds under the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program from hiring skilled foreign workers under the H-1B visa program."
