And to larry and Chris..

Relax, Obama included Rush Limbaugh's name in a whopping ONE sentence. That may sound like "normal operating procedure" to some, you know, ONE sentence, but not to many.

It's the teevee media, especially, who have played up the Limbaugh statements. The proof is in the QUESTIONS media have been daily asking Gibbs, and other Dems,…..they're mostly about Rush.

Oh well. If Rush goes, I guess that'll make Sean Hannity the leader of the GOP. At least the Dems will have SOMEBODY to demonize. That's what's important.

Rush is obviously a very powerful person but its very weird (and a little scary)that a sitting president feels the need to comment on him. BHO and staff seem to make critical comments on the media normal operating procedure. Not a good sign…

Who cares. All I know is Limbaugh had lost a ton of weight. Literally, a ton. As in 2,000 pounds less than what he used to weigh. I just now saw a picture of him from last month, and he looks like he's gained that ton back. Plus, for good measure, an additional 800 pounds. A 2,800 pound weight gain. Seriously, this guy is dead from a heart attack within a year. I hope he doesn't go into full Oprah mode by blaming his thyroid instead of pointing his big fat fingers at the Twinkie buffet.

LOL. Can't believe you made this statement, Rev. Must be that selective amnesia again. Liberals would have put Bush in prison if they could have. I don't think prison equates with success.

Liberals wished for the failure of almost everything Bush did for 8 years. I'll assume you were out of the country. That's the only way you couldn't know how the libs tried to destroy Bush.

I agree, DK. I think that there are those in the Democrats' ranks who need to have someone to hate. With GWB retired, they're left grasping. In the end, I believe that these are people who can't be satisfied, even when they're getting what they want. IMO, it's only a matter of time before they start hating the Obaminator, too.

I don't know of *anyone* who wants Obama to fail. However, I don't think he's making choices that will pull us out of the recession we're in, but rather choices that will extend it. He's got a very Hoover feel about him, with his ginormous spending spree. That's my biggest problem with him. That was my biggest problem with GWB, too, the 'stimulus'. Plus ça change…

This is America, where we can listen to, read or view whatever we want.

But I disagree with the notion that the Democrats needed a new villain. Rush is the one who started this fight. He's the first person to come out openly wishing Obama to fail, after what?….two weeks after the inauguration? Despite what Republican revisions want us to believe, Democrats, in office or out, never wished openly for Bush to fail. We realized that if Bush failed, which he eventually did, the whole nation failed,….which is what eventually happened.

Its seems odd that a Democratic, "our way or else", President would take all that time talking to Republicans, showing them respect. You know, if he's really an "our way or else" kind of leader. It seems odd that Obama would have items yanked from the stimulus bill that Republicans complained about, if he's really an "our way or else" kind of president.

I'm not a Republican. I'm conservative on fiscal issues, more libertarian on social issues. I believe in the founding principles, which is why I have an aversion to the political left. They don't believe in them, except when it's politically convenient. Mostly they want to overturn them.

In any case, all this nonsense about Limbaugh is just a way to attack the messenger while obscuring the message. That's why so many liberals insert the words "fat druggie" in front of Limbaugh's name, to disparage him personally. I'm not a big Limbaugh fan, but I'd never tell anyone not to listen to him. That's the stuff of tyrants.

All Fascist regimes need an enemy, and usually those enemies get invented by the state. Now that Bush is gone, the “our way or else” democrats need a villain to demonize in public and serve as the nebulas opponent standing in the way of their glorious plans. Since the GOP has lost its way and has no real vision or leader, Rush is the closest thing to the head.

It’s also a nice play for the Dems because unlike Bush and other elected conservatives, Rush can’t lose elections and then disappear. He will always be around to demonize.

Democrats call Limbaugh the leader of the Republican Party and he says he is not a Republican but a conservative. I am both but I think that he really doesn't consider himself a Republican. I pay dues to the Party and I dare anyone to show that Limabaugh does that.
