If the semi-literates in ACORN had any sense, they'd be out protesting every Dim HQ in sight for the way the Dims and their allies in the teachers unions allowed them to be so dumbed down by the failed Dim controlled public schools.

But what am i saying? Having been so dumbed down, the only option the ACORNites have is to agitate for more welfare, more affirmative action in hiring, more affirmative action financing, etc., etc.

Great scam the Dims have pulled off on the brothers.

Andrea,
That's a good one about ACORN workers "making mistakes." The real description for that is - ACORN workers "falsified voter registrations."

And I don't care if ACORN is getting only ten cents from the government, they shouldn't be getting any, because they are NOT the non-partisan voter registration group they pretend to be, they are a Democratic advocacy group, trying to steal the election for Obama, under investigation in a dozen states, and with a long history of the very voter fraud you claim doesn't exist. ACORN says they are going to clean up their act after every election cycle, but they never do.

And what happens when the government doesn't catch all the thousands of fraudulent registrations in every state, and the fake voters show up to cast their fake votes on election day in states without voter id laws ??? And which political party was dead set against voter id laws ? The Democrats.

Good one about them yelling about Ayers ..I guess you want to also sell me a bridge to Alaska .
ACORN workers did make mistakes and those who did should be fired and will learn their lesson. However all the hoopla is a smoke screen. The people they falsly registered as mickey mouse will never be able to vote. But now that any application is being possibly tossed out because of ANY small discrepencey in the record even such as a slight spelling error in ones address means some people who should be voting might not be.
So how much of your taxes actually goes to organizations like ACORN ???? maybe ...$1
You are not sharing your wealth with any dead beats by paying your taxes ..what you are doing is supporting the government to pay off the deficit which Bush gave us with the Iraq war. Now that is very patriotic wont you say ?

Andrea, I see you listen to all of the MSNBC garbage and the . When they were yelling kill him and Terrorist, which doesn't happen at every rally, in fact it only happened at 2 rallys. During these outbursts they were talking about William Ayers not Barak Obama.

What does your 2nd post for the Democratic party and the ones they want to help? ACORN gives them a job and since they make money for each new registrant they falsify thousands of names, risking the integrity of the very people that gave them the job. Now you want to allow Obama to tax my money 15 to 20% more than I am already paying to share my wealth and success with them, the deadbeats of society that decided they didn't want to do anything with their lives but survive hour by hour, by hook or by crook.

As for ACORN

this is a much to doo about not much. But love to hear your post ..a weak attempt to say there was voter fraud when there was NONE . As a person who works for the board of elections , voter fraud is when someone actually VOTES illegally . What you have here is workers trying to get as many registered . Perhaps they put in fake names ..but no way would these fake names be able to vote. You can register 100 times but you are only placed on the voting record ONCE and you only get one vote. Your fake name will show when you are asked to show your ID when you first come to vote. A card is sent to your home , if it gets returned we take your name off the poll record. Sorry but there are certain procedures in play before anyone can actually vote. This is fraudulent applications nothing more. And why not google Mccain and ACORN to learn he palled around with them in 2006

Radical code words ?
Gee whiz no one at Obama rallies is calling out for anyone to kill Mccain Sarah Palin, a candidate for the second highest office in the land , who might be president one day stood on a platform heard cries of "kill him" after her anti-Obama rant, and said absolutely nothing. She went on with her lies as if nothing had happened.

King,

It looks like the Dims and their sordid soul-mates in ACORN won't be able to steal the election in Ohio as easily as they thought.

Unfair! Racist!

Thanks for the banking insiderness, king. I appreciate it. I hope some of da men listened as well. I still disagree with you about the injection of raceism in the election; but I do appreciate your explanation on banking.

Vince, this one's for you.

"Political correctness is dying a slow death, but it is going ugly — just like its proponents."

No, Vince, what is dying is the permanent Conservative majority you were on the verge of a few years ago. And it's dying thanks to people like you. Keep up the good work.

And Mike, you're right, I apologize. The fact that white people say they are going to vote for a black man and then don't when in the voting booth absolutely does not establish racism. Nice circular John Kerry argument there on your part.

If it walks like a duck......

Can we get a post on ACORN? And please mention how McCain supported them. You all haven't forgot about that, have you?

Also Mike, the polls are designed to form public opinion, not reflect it.

And the forming that is done is overwhelmingly to give the polls a tilt to the Dims.

So it should be no suprise that the Republicans more often than not tend to over-perform on Election Day relative to the polls -- that is, unless of course, the polls actualy did succeed and shaped public opinion.

And don't worry about these Dims here. They see racism in every fact of life. It's their nature.

"Why don't you ask the family of the late Tom Bradley how a black man can be ahead in every poll including exit polls and still lose. After you do that, come back and explain to me how racism isn't relevant. " - da truth

This is a non-sequiter. You have the observable facts (black politician ahead in the polls loses), but your hypothetical explanation (racism) is in no way demonstrated by those facts.

If people refused to vote for the black politician simply because of his skin color, then evidence of that should show up in the polling data. If it doesn't, then the polling data is inherently unreliable, and should not be used to explain anything. All you've managed to show here is that polling data is unreliable when one of the candidates is black.

Your example also shows that some people, for whatever reason, are prone to lie about their voting practices when one of the candidates is black. That's not evidence of racism, that's evidence of people not wanting to be perceived as racist. While there are surely some racists who would not want to be perceived as racist, there would also be plenty of non-racists who would also not wish to be perceived as racist either.

The point is, you're example hasn't found racist voters, all you've found is people who are saying that they will vote/have voted for the black candidate, but actually will not/have not. Those people may be liars, and they may have plenty of other bad qualities, there is absolutely no reason to assume that all of them are racist.

There's a reason why we have people vote privately, and don't rely on Gallup or any other polling entity to decide elections. The fact that your "proof" of racism is based upon the reliability of polling information, when those entities readily admit wide-ranging inaccuracies, just illustrates your strident desire to find racism where ever it may or may not be.

King,

On the affirmative action mortgage mess, the Dims can't stand the truth because the truth negates their entire leftwing agenda and in many cases their very reason for living.

But the good news is that the more the Dims & the leftist shout "racist," the less effect the charge has.

Political correctness is dying a slow death, but it is going ugly -- just like its proponents.

+++

And speaking of so-called racists, what are the Clintons up to? Are the out helping B. Hussein Obama get elected or are they trying to put a knife -- figuratively speaking, of course -- in the Magic Negro's back.

One more thing, folks. Remember when one person at a McCain rally yelled out "kill him", which was assumed to be a threat against Obama ? That person wasn't suggesting that Obama be killed. It was a suggestion that AYERS the terrorist be killed.

I wonder how every single one of the liberal media and all the Dems who jumped to play the race card missed that ? Even the Secret Service said nobody was making a threat against Obama, and they take that sort of thing VERY seriously, as they should.

And anyone who thinks a couple isolated shouts of "terrorist" or "arab" from the crowd at a McCain rally (which McCain rebuked) are somehow indicative of widespread GOP racism, and justifies any of the vitriolic hate directed toward the McCain campaign coming from DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS, read the information from the following link about left-wing haters calling for Palin to be stoned, raped, aborted, calling her a c*unt, a nazi, etc, etc, etc. There has an avalanche of hatred coming from the left since the day Palin was announced as VP. This is where the real hate comes from, yet it goes largely unreported by Obama's pet media, and instead they make a big deal out of a couple isolated comments from the GOP crowd. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

And please note that NOBODY in Congress from the GOP side says any of this hatemongering is the responsibility of Barack Obama. When you stand the responses of the Dems and the GOP in Congress side by side to hate rhetoric, it becomes clear where the prejudice truly lies.

Amazing how the media continues to run "interference" for the messiah, yet they still claim to be unbiased. Even more interesting is how they are shielding Obama by claiming racism, even where the criticism is racially unrelated. His character, judgement, and questionable associations are now deemed off-limits? The proposal of such a mandate would definitely require the willing suspension of disbelief. Jokers!

Furthermore, how is it McCain's responsibility to control the behaviour of his constituents?

Where were the outcries when the leftist knuckleheads trashed Minnesota and disrupted McCain's acceptance speech? That kind of stuff is ok, I guess. It's politics, there is emotion on both sides, and that's the way it works. If the kitchen is too hot, get the hell out.

Anyone want to talk about how liberal media bias is a factor in the election ? Almost the entire media is shilling for Obama, and the Dems here want me to believe Obama is somehow at a disadvantage in this election. Let's get real.

da truth,
I've worked in the banking industry off and on since the 1980's, for four different banks in all. All the banks I worked for have been pressured to lower loan standards, with the goal of the pressure being to increase home ownership in America. All four banks I worked for succumbed to that pressure. It was either that or be called racist, which three of the four banks WERE called in the newpapers by various left-wing activist groups and/or Democratic politicians. Three of those four banks no longer exist, and the one that does has lost almost 90% of it's stock value. The reason the pressure worked is that every bank lives in fear of bad publicity, which could result in a run on the bank, which would collapse the bank. There probably isn't a bank in America that can withstand it's depositors withdrawing their funds, because they don't have enough reserve capital to meet that demand. So the banks do what they have to do. The banks do exactly what the government pushes them to do. While increasing home ownership is a noble goal for the government to pursue, the implementation of bad fiscal policies in order to accomplish it is neither noble nor wise, as we all are seeing now with the financial meltdown.

And for the second time, I never said race was not a factor in the election. That would be naive. Race is always some kind of factor, on all sides. What I said was, neither McCain, Palin, or the GOP have used racial tactics. Only the Democrats are doing that. When Palin says "Obama pals around with terrorists", that is not about race. That is about Obama being a friend of domestic terrorist William Ayers, Obama launching his political career from Ayers house, Obama serving with Ayers in organizations, and Obama being deceptive about his involvment with Ayers. Whether or not you think that is a legitimate attack point for the GOP (and I actually think it's a rather dumb attack point when McCain should be attacking Obama on his economic plans), it has nothing to do with race. It has to do with Obama's judgement, character, and political viewpoint.

Hope this helps.

Aaron,

Thanks for the clarification. I agree that no one wants to take responsibility....and certainly not so close to the election. Anyways, thanks again for clearing it up.

King, your friend said:

"If Whitey could get a mortgage and the Negro could not, that was all the proof the Dims needed to claim racial discrimination. And that is a fact, a fact that the Dims find inconvenient right now and are trying to bury with charges of 'racism' against anyone who dares to observe the truth. You know that is true, King. You were in the banking industry."

Go ahead, King, tell us. After all, you were in the banking industry. And after you explain that to us, explain to me again how race is not a factor in this election.

King,

Check it out. Breaking news!

B. Hussein Obama's old organization ACORN is being investigated for voter fraud up in Cuyahoga County.

The real story here is that ACORN's fraud was so blatant that even a corrupt Dim county as Cuyahoga County could no longer continue to turn a blind eye to it.

I'd mention the race of those involved by I fear chastisement by the leftwing thought police who patrol your blog.

The mortgage mess and the ensuing Wall Street meltdown it percipitated was done by the leftwingers in the Dim Party who allegedly wanted to help the Negroes, who the mortgage industry was 'discriminating' against becasue the Negroes had 1) bad credit history, 2) low income, and 3) no downpayment.

you see, liberals and Dims are not interested in equality under the law or in equal opportunities. They demand equal outcomes. So, the perverted Dim thinking went like this:

If Whitey could get a mortgage and the Negro could not, that was all the proof the Dims needed to claim racial discrimination.
truth,

I guess that did come across as more bashing Obama than I intended. I more meant to bash the media than Obama. In interest of fairness, I believe the Republicans deliberately continue to make statements of this sort simply to try and avoid the pertinent issues and tough questions that come with personal responsibility, which nobody wants to take.

And nice try, Vince, to blame this on the poor. Or Negores, as you call poor people.

I've had enough of arguments about whose fault whatever crisis is, and who called whom what names.

None of this gets us any closer to fixing what ails the country here and now. Where's the candidate or moderator who can step in and keep all the political discussion on track? All namecalling does is create excuses for afterwards. IF Obama loses, it will be because he was 'unable to overcome racial stereotypes perpetuated by the Republican Party'. IF Obama wins, it will be because 'The country is ready for change and needs his ideas'. His policies will never factor into a loss, and his racial supporters will never factor into his win. And either way, it does NOTHING for our country.

I'm just sick and tired of it all.

"I don't care what individual experience you had with minorities and loans….you are mistaken in your emphasis here. 60% of foreclosed loans were spec loans. Poor blacks don't spec houses.

The problem was caused by deregulation of the finance industry.

Ghost took your emphasis to make his logical(?) conclusions….and they're ugly."

The Rev has just boiled this thing down for us. Thanks Rev. And Ben is right as well when he says...."To say there isn't is foolhardy at best, a lie at worst.'

King, if you like, I could bust out link after link from State after State about people saying they support Obama that aren't going to vote for him, but it would take days because there are so many.

King, you said: "How can that possibly be happening if racism is so prevalent in America ? Answer - it isn't possible." Really? Why don't you ask the family of the late Tom Bradley how a black man can be ahead in every poll including exit polls and still lose. After you do that, come back and explain to me how racism isn't relevant.

I'm not changing the subject. McCain's campaign continues to send out opening speakers that refer to Mr. Obama's middle name. Palin continues to imply (ok, you win, she never came right out and called him a terrorist) that he's a terrorist. Just like Lewis "implied" McCain was racist. The problem here is that consevatives have finally run into a D who is not going to lay down for this crap like Ds did in the last two elections.

"What I haven't seen yet from all the folks screaming 'it was deregulation's fault !' is any attempt to regulate the housing market, which would keep the lower income people from buying houses they can't afford."

You're out on a limb and you're cutting it off.

Deregulation led to collapsed financial institutions. Shoring up, or taking over, those institutions is the immediate problem. Regulations will follow. Look how difficult it was for GOP'ers to even agree to shore up the industry. They would have stopped any regulation effort.

I don't care what individual experience you had with minorities and loans....you are mistaken in your emphasis here. 60% of foreclosed loans were spec loans. Poor blacks don't spec houses.

The problem was caused by deregulation of the finance industry.

Ghost took your emphasis to make his logical(?) conclusions....and they're ugly.
