larry,
If they were Obama supporters, it's okay if they make racist statements. It's only GOP racists that are the bad ones.

Craig,
You're right. I shouldn't have called Barney Frank a "lying moron" or a "pig". That was immature of me.

I apologize to morons and pigs everywhere.

Is this an example of Republicans making blacks out to be racist or is it just some Harlem blacks indicating ignorance.

Funny you should mention that, Newspaperman.

Just yesterday I heard some news reporters joking and laughing about calling their wives the 'c' word, then they called a couple of pretty young African American women who passed by n---- headed h-- b-----s.

All three wore nametags that identified them as democrat Obama supporters.

If you boneheads don't think racism isn't alive and well in the ranks of the Grand Ole Party then allow me to enlighten you. The most recent comment I've heard in the past week is "The White House ain't no place for a ni--we" and "If he ain't a black ni--er he's a sand ni--er with a name like that." These comment came out of the mouths of two of the Christian base of the GOP in the hills of WVa. Figure it out for yourself.

"I have a suggestion, Dems. Grow up, and knock it off. The only side that ever brings up race is YOUR side. Therefore, I conclude that it must be the Democrats who are obsessed with it, not the GOP."

Alright....let's take your statements here as accurate for sake of argument.

If what Palin and McCain have been doing isn't racism....then what in the hell is it?

Xenophobia? Fear for the sake of making people afraid?

And if that's what McCain-Palin are doing...trying to scare voters....how is it that they're any different from Bush-Cheney?

<i>Barack Obama has played the race card several times, first against the Clintons in the primaries, and in the general election he keeps saying things like, ""they [GOP] are going to tell you…he [Obama] doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills." OF course, the Republicans have never said any such thing.</i>

You're absolutely correct. Absolutely no republican has made such a claim as <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDTJDv4hevU" rel="nofollow">that</a>.

For the Democrats, nothing is failing, all is succeeding, so this pretext of blame to compensate for some kind of failure is bogus. Is John McCain intolerant? Well, the other day when a woman misidentified Obama as an Arab, McCain retorted that Obama was instead a decent family man. For John McCain are there not Arabs who are decent family men? I don't know if you would that sort of thing racism, but rather an unintentional admission of religious intolerance. But he wrote off any Arab-American voters long ago along with many other demographics based on his lack of grace and his transparent prejudices.

da truth,
I NEVER said Obama hates America. I don't believe that he does.

How many examples of Democrats calling Republicans/McCain/Palin racist do you need before you'll believe it ?

If America is such a racist country, how did Obama win the primary, and how is Obama leading in the polls now ? As for the Bradley Effect, we'll see if that plays out on election day, when, btw, racist America will most probably elect Obama president.

I also have no problem seeing racism where it exists, it's just that the Dems are seeing it where it DOESN'T exist. That was my entire point. When talking about Obama's relationship with Ayers is somehow proof of GOP racism, or when citing the lack of credit qualifications for mortgage loans is somehow racist, the Dems have gone way off the rails, and into the very hate speech they claim to dislike.

King, I mostly agree with you except on two spots:

1. "All the radicals in Obama's past do make you wonder what kind of people he will appoint in his administration."

I'm not sure I understand the significance of the use of the word "all" in there. If he is as truly as radical as you think and he wins, then Congress turns back to R very quickly in the next cycle. The Wright link is much stronger than the Ayers link, but don't you think if Obama really believed what Wright believes that there would be stronger evidence of it than that he listened to his sermons and got married by him? If that is the strongest evidence that Obama hates America, you lost me.

2. I haven't seen McCain called a racist by anyone at an Obama rally or by anyone in Obama's camp. I'm not saying it hasn't happened, but I'm not aware of it. And we're not calling McCain a racist, but your being naive about him in terms of the terrorist thing. He allowed that kind of talk to go on until he saw it was hurting him in the polls. Then he did something about it. And, in the one clip I saw, the day before he defended Obama, he clearly winces when a crowd member calls Obama a terrorist, yet he said nothing on the point. I don't think McCain is a racist. Yes, I think there is a strong racist faction in this country that affects this election.

3. "I've yet to hear a Dem condemnation of all the race talk coming from the Dems, and sadly, you just defended such talk yourself. John McCain had the integrity to condemn his own supporters for saying unfounded things about Obama. If Obama has the same integrity as McCain, he'd do the same with his supporters. John McCain is not a racist, Obama knows it, and yet he hasn't said a word, while many Dems and the media are falsely characterizing McCain. It's disgraceful. The Dems claim to want to discuss the issues is belied by their shouting "racist" on every issue that turns against them."

As I said before, we make no apolgies for seeing racism where it exists. If that means we see it sometimes where it ain't, so be it. You spot me us a touchdown and we'll shut up about it. You're a fool if you think it's not relevant.

If Obama was running as a Republican and McCain was running as a Democrat (not a big stretch for McCain), I'd be voting for the Libertarian. I might vote for a third party candidate anyway, since I'm not too crazy about either big party guy.

It seems there is a clear choice according to some Democrats - either vote for Obama or be a racist. Criticize Obama and you're a racist. Criticize an Obama front group and you're a racist. Criticize Obama's friends and you're a racist. Criticize even Barney Frank for facilitating the mortgage crisis and you're a racist. That must be the Change We Can Believe In, post-partisanship, uniting rhetoric. Yup. Very impressive. Somehow they don't see that type of thinking is in itself racist, because then we'd only be voting for Obama because he's black (which the Dems would be perfectly okay with). Upside down thinking. IQ deficient.

Rev,
You called me dishonest about SS privatization, and then you repeated the same thing I said about it. Duh. I guess you're dishonest too.

You called me dishonest for saying Palin was never a member of AIP, and then you repeated the fact that she was never a member of AIP. Double duh.

You know McCain was exonerated in the Keating Five scandal. Everyone knows. Read the link. All the answers are there.

I'm also failing to see how I appear to be a racist for condemning the biggest voter fraud group in the country, ACORN, who is under investigation in a dozen states and have a proved record of engaging in voter fraud. It's just that type of nonsensical diversionary racism tactic from Dems that led me to write this post originally. Thanks for reinforcing my point. We'll call your comments Exhibit B.

And I don't think McCain or Palin said Obama hates America either. But the only ones I can think of who did say anything about hating America come from Obama's side, like Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers. Michelle Obama came close with that comment about only being proud of her country for the first time when Obama started doing well politically.

da truth,
I don't lump all Dems together, just the ones who are making phony charges of racism, along with those who are providing cover for those immoral actions. I've yet to hear a Dem condemnation of all the race talk coming from the Dems, and sadly, you just defended such talk yourself. The Dems claim to want to discuss the issues is belied by their shouting "racist" on every issue that turns against them.

My biggest problem with ACORN is that they are funded by the government, when they are clearly a partisan advocacy group. They don't recruit voters, they only recruit Obama voters. Okay, maybe that's my second biggest problem with them. The attempts at voter fraud are first.

I agree with you that focusing on Ayers is a losing tactic for the GOP. When the economy is in such turmoil and McCain is trailing in the polls, it makes the GOP look desperate. The economy is what America cares about, not one more radical who is pals with Obama. Ayers and the rest are a legitimate character issue for Obama, but far from the most important one. All the radicals in Obama's past do make you wonder what kind of people he will appoint in his administration. Presidents usually appoint their friends to government positions, and some of Obama friends are pretty far out there. On the bright side, maybe our Rev will get a government position if Obama wins. He could head up the new federal Department Of Conspiracy Theories.

King has trouble with the truth when times get tough for Republicans.

Bush, indeed, pushed for privatizing a portion of FICA payroll deductions. He did it beginning in 2005, he was spending what he called his "political capital" from his re-election.

To be fair, he suggested that younger workers could voluntarily take up to a third of their deductions and place it in stock or bond funds.

The cost to set this proposed system up? One trillion dollars. The idea went down in flames.

McCain wants to bring that same idea back from the dead.

Them's the facts.

While Sarah Palin may never have been an official member of the AIP....the guy she slept with every night was.

Them's the facts.

If McCain didn't do anything wrong in the Keating 5 deal.....why did he apologize for his behaviour and seek to make up for his bad behaviour by becoming a big-time reformer?

Just as Bush has never been punished for his proven propagandizing of the American people about Iraq.....so too, McCain was never punished for his Keating 5 involvement......but investigations into both of these events concluded the behaviour was wrong.

And King's continual raising of ACORN, though King is not a racist, makes him appear to be.

ACORN is a voter registration operation and an advocate for the poor, especially urban poor. Spinning some dark tale about Obama and ACORN...some sinister plot suggested....appears to be racist.

Get out the vote efforts are normal, cyclical happenings. ACORN, if indeed Obama has hired them, would be carrying out their normal function. Nothing sinister about it.

King, let me clarify a few things for you, since you want to lump all us Ds together:

1. "I don't blame the entire financial crisis on Democrats, but blaming it all on Republicans is ridiculous."

Since this is the real issue we should be talking about, let's. I agree.

2. "It's pretty sad that you can't criticize your own when they make blatant and repeated phony charges of racism to cover up their own misdeeds."

We make no apologies for wanting this election to be decided on the candidates, their stances, their records, their intelligence, etc. As long as a black man in a campaign on the national level is anywhere from 3% to 12% before issues and records are ever even examined simply because of his race, yes, we will bring it up. If the playing field were neutral, perhaps then we would not be so supersensitive and hypervigilant about it. But it's not. And we're sick of it. So, yes, we take a card out of the neocon playbook and use hate and fear to make our point. No apologies.

3) "Obama certainly DID give ACORN $800,000 to fund get-out-the-vote projects for Obama. Obama also was deceptive about that, and had to amend his FEC filings when it was discovered, as the following link explains."

Can you explain to me why the McCain camp is so late to get on this? I have many problems with Obama, and this is at the top of my list. It has amazed me that McCain's supporters chose Ayers to focus on over this issue. This is way more damaging. If McCain exploits this correctly, he could even up the polls (which means he wins). But, based on all else he has done, it seems unlikely he will get it right.

4). "Sarah Palin was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party. That one was debunked weeks ago, along with about a hundred other phony Palin rumors that the liberal media spread."

Yes, she was. Just like Obama is an Arab Muslim who hates America.

5). "Neither McCain nor Palin have called Obama a terrorist. Ever. I outlined what Palin said in my original post. McCain has even called Obama a decent person who you do not have to fear as president."

No, they never said he was a terrorist. Just that he's friends with terrorists and that he hates America. And yes, finally, McCain stopped someone that called Obama a Muslim. After 3 days of his crowds calling for Obama to be lynched, he finally said something. Yay. Excuse us for not being so taken by the honoralble one's actions.

And to Roy, yes, Roy, we know so much about Palin's college career. You explain that to me and I'll explain Obama's to you. Please.

You will never convince a "good" Democrat of messiah worshipper that they are the real racists in this mess. No matter how many good examples they see they have to fall back on the fact the the Republicans are the real racists. No proof of any kind, just the old saw that has convinced their faithful about who is or is not racist.

I always wonder how many of THEM remember the time about a year ago that Obama said the US is the greatest country in the world and followed that statement with one involved in asking people to join with him in his quest for change. Somehow after that one time using those words he failed to say it just like that again.

I guess I saw a little racism in those statements but THEY didn't. I am so racist that if Obama was running for the Republicans and McCain for the Democrats I would probably be backing Obama. Of course, not all his wants and desires would be the same as they are now or he would have been a Democrat.

Somehow I have never seen his skin as too dark but I do wonder if he was admitted into Columbia and Harvard under an affirmative action quota. Somehow, we don't know a lot about the, what I call, Columbia and Harvard years and what he was doing then. If he could come clean about that period in his life he might convince me that he is The Man, but he won't because there is obviously something in that period of his life that he wants to keep buried.

I am obviously a racist for wanting to know about those years of the Obama life. You know how he paid for the trip for himself and Michelle when he wasn't making any money because he was writing a book that was far overdue? Maybe he developed his Candy Man powers back then. According to the drive bys and Dems you are a racist if you want to learn anything about him. We were all informed about every bit of Palin's life within about 2 weeks by the media but in the four years they have been pushing Obama they just haven't been able to dig out any of what he did during his Columbia-Harvard years other than he was an editor of a student paper.

Andrea,
You made a number of factual misstatements.

1) Neither McCain nor Palin have called Obama a terrorist. Ever. I outlined what Palin said in my original post. McCain has even called Obama a decent person who you do not have to fear as president. What McCain/Palin have done is to question Obama's judgement by associating so closely with terrorist Bill Ayers, an association that Obama has misled people about the entire time.

2) Obama certainly DID give ACORN $800,000 to fund get-out-the-vote projects for Obama. Obama also was deceptive about that, and had to amend his FEC filings when it was discovered, as the following link explains.

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/election/s_584284.html

3) Sarah Palin was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party. That one was debunked weeks ago, along with about a hundred other phony Palin rumors that the liberal media spread.

4) Bush NEVER proposed Social Security privatization. Dems have been lying about that one for years. What Bush did propose was an OPTIONAL means for a worker to put a small part of their SS monies into a personal account, which would have been invested in conservative bonds or stock. The stock market has ALWAYS gained over the long term (and SS is a long term investment), even during the Great Depression. Even now, with the stock market tanking, we are only back to where the market was in 2003. In any case, participation would have been voluntary.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/infocus/social-security/

5) The Senate Ethics Committee cleared McCain of all charges in the Keating Five scandal. Yet, Barack Obama is still running negative ads against McCain regarding the Keating Five. The other four of the Keating Five, including the ones who were actually guilty, were Democrats.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keating_Five

6) The current financial crisis is not the result of Republican rule, though I certainly have severe criticisms of Bush on fiscal matters. Both Bush and McCain tried to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. McCain co-sponsored regulation to reign in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and it was defeated by a voice vote, because ALL Democrats and a few Republicans were against. If you want to know what the government's involvement in the financial crisis is, all you have to do is answer one question - Why did banks start giving mortgage loans to unqualified persons ? The answer is, primarily because of Democrats' efforts to expand low-income housing. The banks handed out increasingly "creative" loans due to political pressure. If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that. I worked in the banking industry for 12 years and saw it firsthand. Just like I outlined in my original post, the banks either had to grant shaky mortgage loans or be called, guess what, RACISTS by leftist organizations and Democrats. I don't blame the entire financial crisis on Democrats, but blaming it all on Republicans is ridiculous.

If you want to know what the government's involvement in the financial crisis is, all you have to do is answer one question – Why did banks start giving mortgage loans to unqualified persons ? The answer is, primarily because of Democrats' efforts to expand low-income housing. The banks handed out increasingly "creative" loans due to political pressure. If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that. I worked in the banking industry for 12 years and saw it firsthand. Just like I outlined in my original post, the banks either had to grant shaky mortgage loans or be called, guess what, RACISTS by leftist organizations and Democrats. I don't blame the entire financial crisis on Democrats, but blaming it all on Republicans is ridiculous.
