Rev is calling me dishonest ? Wow. That's like being called fat by Michael Moore. Then the Rev adds his usual unintentional irony by being dishonest himself, when he says that Karl Rove has taken over McCain's campaign, an outright lie. Rove does NOT work for McCain's campaign. A guy named Steve Schmidt has taken over as McCain's campaign operations manager. Schmidt has been advising the McCain campaign all along, and previously did work with Rove, along with holding several other positions in the Republican party. Schmidt ran Schwarzeneggers campaign for governor of California, was a communications manager for House Republican campaigns, and worked as a counselor to VP Cheney.

Rev wonders why McCain never responded to Obama playing the race card before. Gee, I dunno Rev, how many times should McCain let Obama call him a racist before he responds to it ? 5, 10, how many ??? I can't believe you even wrote anything that lame.

Finally, the Rev says "Media have been playing looped pieces implying racism for one full year now. Who does this help?"

You weren't at all specific about how the media has been, as you claim, "implying racism", but I assume you are talking about things like Jeremiah Wright, whose racism wasn't the least bit implied, it was as overt as can be, and Obama sat in the pew for 20 years listening to it. Implied indeed.

If you are asking "who does this help ?" when Obama plays the race card against his opposition with his "they're trying to scare you…..funny name, don't look like all those other presidents on the currency" type remarks, I think it helped Obama early on in the primaries against the Clintons when the Clintons were afraid to fight back, but Obama's race card act has worn very thin, especially in light of the fact that McCain has never once used race in his campaign. When Obama falsely plays the race card, it ultimately hurts Obama, as it would hurt any candidate who makes demonstrably false charges against his opponent. That's why the Obama campaign backpedaled so furiously, and even ridiculously tried to pretend Obama's racial comments weren't about race at all after McCain's people called them on it. Watching Dems try to furiously spin their way out of messes of their own creation is truly a wonder to behold. If not for the media continually papering over and even abetting their nonstop lies, they'd be in dire straits.

Obama's been playing the race card everytime he makes that statement, Reverend. He does it whenever things aren't going his way.

It's quite transparent.

Repeating....

Media have been playing looped pieces implying racism for one full year now. Who does this help?

The truth here is that McCain's campaign accused Obama of playing the race card. Any dispute about that?

And Obama's statement which provoked McCain's campaign to say that was..." they're trying to scare you.....funny name, don't look like all those other presidents on the currency." Obama has often used this line without any childish tantrums being thrown. The difference now is that Karl Rove has taken over the McCain campaign. Any dispute about that?

King: You have turned into a dishonest broker of information. That's too bad.

Here's an update to this story:

Obama thinks it's "troublesome" that McCain objected to being called a racist, while Obama runs from his own words. Here's an excerpt from ABC:

"ABC News' Teddy Davis and Sunlen Miller Report: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., told NPR's "All Things Considered" on Friday that he finds Sen. John McCain's, R-Ariz., eagerness to level charges of racism "troublesome".

"[T]he way that they’ve amplified this, you know, has been troublesome," said Obama, referring to the McCain campaign's charge this week that Obama has been playing the "race card" "And the eagerness with which they’ve done it indicates they think they can exploit this politically."

Obama said McCain's charge that he played the "race card" is "ridiculous."

He also said that in "no ways" does he believe the McCain campaign has "targeted race issues."

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/08/obama-mccain-tr.html

---
This is unbelievable. First, Obama calls the McCain campaign racist, and now Obama not only denies his own words, but he he has the gall to be upset at McCain because McCain didn't like being called a racist.

What is really "troublesome" is the endless stream of lies, contradictions, flip-flops, and unbridled ego coming from the Obamessiah.

Racism and anything that smacks of being mean-spirited is immediately hyped by the press--to hell with the real issues--and we are lectured on our latent racism etc. The end result is going to be a Bradley effect come election day that will be far beyond normal projections.

All,
It looks like Obama woke up this morning and found out his lead was gone, that he and McCain were now tied in the polls, so the Human Jellyfish decided he'd try to buy some votes by giving everyone $1,000 from the oil companies. The Messiah also flip-flopped on offshore oil drilling and now favors it. I guess offshore drilling isn't the "failed policies of the past" anymore.

I think this makes it a clean sweep. Obama has changed his mind on EVERY issue (except maybe health care....stay tuned). Nothing Obama says means squat. He IS the "blank slate" he referred to himself as. He doesn't have principles, he has tactics. At this point, he'd sell his soul to the devil to get elected, if he hasn't already done so.

King, that is one of your best blog entries. It is so good that I am taking it to kestrel's and will direct the words to one of the worst of the libs there. I will demand an answer to it from her and then start stacking parts, one at a time on her to get her riled.

Thanks for this one.

Red, did you by any chance see Obama get backed into a corner by what turned out to be a heckler in Orlando this morning? The heckler played the race card on him demanding that he do all these things for black people that he was accused of not doing. Poor Barry stuttered and stammered and then attacked the heckler as being what turns some of his rallies wrongside out. The best part of it all was that the "heckler" was a young black man. Obama is going to hear that kind of stuff for four years if he gets elected. Black people look at him as a real savior who can do for them what McCain just won't. I wonder if he will even last 4 years, if elected.

His best quote of today involves what he intends to finance his suggested $500 per person and $1000 per couple that he wants to put out as soon as possible. He intends to finance that with his upcoming suggestion of windfall profits taxes. He can't be so stupid as to think he will levy something like that without having prices for you and I go up in order to pay them. His way will end up costing us a lot more than he intends to give us. I am not sure he intends to give the payments to all races after the way he has been talking about reparations for slavery. Do you think he might just use that $500 per person as his reparations payments?

Why, larry, do you insist that Obama has nothing else to run on.....when, as you know, Americans favor his policies? Not gimmicks....policies.

Out of Iraq, ending Bush tax cuts for the rich, cutting taxes further for poor-to-middle class workers, instituting a national health coverage program, ending subsidies for big oil, reversing Bush's unconstitutional executive orders and fighting America's enemy....al-Qaeda.

If that's "nothing to run on"....what would "something to run on" look like?

"Let's be clear. John McCain has NEVER made a racial reference to Barack Obama. He has NEVER said anything remotely resembling the "he doesn't look like us" comment that Obama is attributing to him. Obama is offering up a complete fiction here."

King,
I've called on many accusers to elaborate, yet they all fail to do so. It's gotten to the point where conservatives are now called racists for not voting for the messiah. Ooops, hope the messiah comment doesn't classify me as a racist.

As dopey as I think McCain is, he cannot be linked to any of their racist allegations. He runs a cleaner campaign than I prefer, but nonetheless.

If anyone should be accused of racism..............should it not be the entire Doomocratic party? They are the ones that suppress their black voters and intimidate them to stay put. If they somehow get out of "big brother's" grasp, they're considered uppity Uncle Toms. And when a black republican runs..................they somehow aren't recognized as black?

We could go on and on, but the facts speak louder than any words could ever accomplish.

Even if the messiah managed to get his image on a one dollar bill, we'd never know. We wouldn't have a dollar left.

And when a black republican runs………………they somehow aren't recognized as black?

We could go on and on, but the facts speak louder than any words could ever accomplish.

Even if the messiah managed to get his image on a one dollar bill, we'd never know. We wouldn't have a dollar left.

Obama has nothing else to run on, Reverend, so he turns to the race card whenever he's cornered.

What exactly has McCain said or done that smacks of racism?

At least guys like Wright and Sharpton aren't so weasely when they do the race-baiting stuff.

The focus of Barack's comments were on the "riskiness" or "scariness" that McCain's campaign, the media and Republicans have sought to smear Obama with.

Obama doesn't look like the other presidents on U.S. currency. That's a fact.

For a full year we've been treated to non-stop fear and loathing propaganda over a potential Obama presidency.

Republicans have nothing else to run on.

Steve Schmidt's (former Rovian) influence is now being witnessed by Americans. Nothing but feces throwing by a desperate group of losers. We'll all need bigger shovels to keep up this fall.
