Stupid Is As Stupid Does

"…By engaging Iran [in dialogue], we reclaim the moral high ground — no small feat. If Iran refuses to budge, we have new leverage to expose it as a threat whose bad intentions cannot be explained away" - John Kerry, May 24, 2008
(link)
Behold the mind of John Hanoi Kerry, where the USA needs to "reclaim the moral high ground" from Iran, a terrorist supporting country run by religious extremists (thanks Jimmy), where they do things like execute homosexuals and aspire to, in the words of the Iranian president, "wipe Israel off the map", because Israel is a "stinking rotting corpse". In addition, Kerry deems it "no small feat" for the USA to recapture the moral high ground from Iran. I wonder what caused the USA to sink to such depths in the mind of Messieur Kerry ? It must have been when the evil George W. Bush removed the terrorist supporting mass murdering tyrant Saddam Hussein from power in neighboring Iraq. I wonder if the Kurds agree ? Or the Kuwaitis ? I'm thinking NOT. I doubt if even the Iranians would want Saddam back.
Also, notice how Waffles says talking with Iran will give us "new leverage to expose it as a threat whose bad intentions cannot be explained away". This leads me to wonder if Kerry is the slowest kid in the class, because everybody else already realizes Iran is a threat whose bad intentions are on plain display for all to see. Try to keep up, Mr. Kerry. Better yet, go away.

Next up is the Worst Person In The World, Keith Olbermann, who works for one of Barack Obama's public relations arms, MSNBC. Watch this video, where Olby raves on and on and on about Hillary Clinton's unfortunate remark about Bobby Kennedy being assassinated in June 1968. Granted, Hillary's comment elicited some pretty bad political imagery, but nobody in their right mind could think that she was talking about staying in the race because Obama could be gunned down. She was only talking about how nominating contests used to go on longer, in response to being asked for about the 10,000th time why she doesn't quit the race. Olberdork, however, not being in his right mind, raves on about it for over 5 minutes, building to a hysterical forced crescendo, blowing Hillary's comment so far out of proportion that you'd almost think she was involved in an assassination attempt herself. Olberdork is the most biased cowardly hack working in the "news" business today. He doesn't even feign fairness or honesty. He doesn't have anyone on his show who doesn't parrot his same dishonest leftwing bilge. There's no fairness and there's certainly no balance. Olberdork loves to make fun of Fox News for being rightwing, but on Fox, there is debate. Both sides of an issue are presented on shows like The O'Reilly Factor or Hannity and Colmes. Those shows purposely have guests come on to argue the opposing points of view. Olberdork works in his safe little leftwing echo chamber, where never is heard a discouraging word, and then Olby has the nerve to sling mud at FoxNews. What a loser he is. If you really want FauxNews, look no further than Keith Olbermann.
I guess it also never occurred to Olberdork that his windy tirade about political assassination gave the idea more breath and exposure than Hillary ever did, by far, even if she had meant it as Olby pretends, which she didn't. I guess I could be wrong on that point, because there probably aren't enough people watching Olbermann's show for him to give ANY idea much exposure. I can't believe someone actually pays Olbermann to flap his lips. There must be millions of Better Persons In The World.

Seems as though this youth generation in love with the idea that Obama can change the world are showing their roots—-raised in the afternoons by Jerry Springer—reactionary, knee-jerks who think life is a giant football game—to feign horror at Hillary over a comment intended to show that other primaries also went into June, close to the November election. How absurd they are to think that their maniacal hate ravings will delude the mature American people from seeing this national dialogue for what it really is—-a giant Jerry Springer show for them to root for the best pole dancer so they can get their beads. These Hillary haters and pretenders are dispicable in my eyes—I can't stand them. They are truly turning me off to voting for their nominee because I find them to be vile and absurdly stupid. I cannot respect them after seeing their version of dialog in this political season. It reminds me of the toilet sniffers on television they enjoy watching—America's Top Model, American Idol and Maury and Jerry and all the other garbage that passes for culture here. Yuck!

Hillary's comment was offensive, unnecessary and senseless.
Kerry's comment, in context, is spot on. The U.S., having been drug down into the gutter by Bush/Cheney, needs to re-establish some kind of moral authority.
Iran may support terrorist groups…..under Bush/Cheney, we've been a terrorist nation.

The rev doesn't understand foreign policy so I can see how such a simpleton would confuse the US with terrorists.

Has anyone ever seen Keith Olbermann and the Reverend together ?

Hillary's comment was not meant the way it has been portrayed and the fact that so many think it was proves they will do anything and say anything to get their candidate elected. Did you watch the entire 20 minutes on tape? If you did, you would see that the context in which that simple statement was made was meant to point out that primaries have gone into June in our past—big deal. The quick to judge and mob mentality against Hillary is despicable and very showing of just how desperate people are to push her out of the way. That is disgusting to me, as she is so far above the others in this race as far as intelligence and strength and determination. It would be far better if opponents of hers would quit their absurd accusations and grow up for a second—showing their lack of maturity does not instill a sense of respect or trust in their judgement capabilities. To continue to treat Hillary and her supporters as though they are to be despised is very stupid on their part—it negates all those who do think she would be a better president and offends us squarely, enough to make many of us turn away from Obama and his raucous crowd of over-the-top self-aggrandizing baby-bottle suckers—if you want unity in the Democratic party by the time November comes around, I suggest being more reality-based and mature for a change. Stop seeing offenses where there are none.

Elijah…
Hillary brought up the assassination of RFK in her answer to why she's staying in the race.
There simply is no other explanation here. The implication was easy to understand. It goes something like this…."I'm staying in the race because anything can happen….even the assassination of Barack Obama…..remember what happened to RFK."
Nothing that anyone says can change what Hillary said and what she meant.
The reason Hillary has been defeated is because she played triangulation politics and ran a very poor campaign. Americans are sick of the Rove-Clinton style of politics. If the "urgency of now"….after Bush/Cheney…..wasn't so….ummm….urgent…then perhaps we could endure another trivialized and manipulated general election.
But it's all too urgent.
She fought hard and came up short. It's nothing to be ashamed of……Obama is just a better candidate.

"Obama is just a better candidate"
NOT !!! He's gives a better scripted speech, but he's nowhere near to being a better candidate. The guy's a novice. He shouldn't be anywhere near the presidency for another 8 years minimum. You'd see this if you had the capacity for objectivity. Obama is a good politician, for sure, but that won't make him good at governing. That requires two separate skill sets, and Obama has no experience at governing whatsoever. Governing requires more than a snappy-sounding speech and saying "hope and change" to applauding and adoring college students. Politics vs. governing is talking the talk vs. walking the walk. Obama has never even had to walk the walk. Never. He's never run anything. Obama would literally be the entry-level leader of the free world, like pulling a kid off the street and making him the CEO of General Electric. As a rule, that's a bad idea.
Btw, the Obama campaign isn't any different than Rove or Clinton campaigns. He seizes on every triviality and small opportunity to twist and distort things to gain any political edge he can, the same as the rest. I can list several distortions he's made against McCain already. He made several against Hillary as well. Again, you'd see it if you had even the slightest degree of objectivity. Instead, you're a disciple. Disciples aren't objective. I've never heard you say even one single negative thing about your messiah (which is why I call him your messiah). Not one little disagreement. Not even one. You're 100% in the bag. You defend him against anything and everything, which is why you're irrational and contradictory at times.

Being irrational and contradictory at times is pretty much what Reverends do as he's explained many times on his own blog.

larry,
Maybe the Rev just needs someone to worship and someone to hate to fill the void. He has replaced Jesus and Satan with Obama and Bush.

It's funny….reading about the need for experience after the Mad Magazine administration of George, the Younger. But….there it is.
Two solid reasons Obama is a leader capable of leading our country.
He led out against attacking Iraq when it was very unpopular to do so. And he was correct in EVERYTHING he said.
He has conducted his campaign with very strong leadership and with discipline.
The twenty eight percent dead-enders who still think Bush, the Younger, is a good leader,…..it would seem to me….wouldn't be the best folks to judge leadership.
Just sayin'.

Rev, I and many other people took Hillary's comment within its context, meaning surrounded by the other words that came along with the comment—she was alluding to primaries running into June, close to the November election– not unusual in our history—she was not saying that Obama might be assassinated–got news for you—Obama is no RFK or JFK or anywhere near that impressive—He is a fancy talking head good at inflection and reading other peoples inspirational speechwriting —that's all. As for assassinations, Hillary could be, too, for that matter—I bet you there are more assassinin types that are relishing the thought of killing a woman running for president than any other type of candidate, judging from the way this woman has been excoriated anytime she says any simple thing and how this society thinks it is okay to condemn women aloud without ramifications out in the wider world. God forbid that either of these candidates would be targeted for assassination. That would be horrific in an already horrific world.

Rev,
Why is it that every time I say something about Obama, you say something about Bush, as if I'm defending Bush by criticizing Obama ? Those are two completely different things.
You can even tell by the spelling: B-U-S-H vs. O-B-A-M-A. See, not even close.
Besides, Bush isn't running for president. And not that is will made any difference to you, but I have many criticisms of the Bush administration. I've aired many of them, but I save my posts to argue against those with whom I'm ideologically opposed, the big government types (of which Bush is one, and therefore my opponent, but he's not as egregious as the liberals, whose INTENTION is government control of everything).
So, you think Obama should be the president because he was against the Iraq war. So was I. Should I be the president ? So were Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore, and Ward Churchill. Should they be the president ?
And if you don't think experience is important for a president, then I feel sorry for you, because you've lost the capacity for reason. To illustrate - Do you think experience is important to become CEO of say, Shell Oil ? Kmart ? How about auto mechanic ? Any position ? Of course it is, but when it comes to the presidency, the top job, suddenly you think experience doesn't matter ? That's senseless. As for Obama's leadership qualities, isn't that just a speech ? He's never actually led anything. Again, we're back to Obama the entry-level president.
